Spring is one of my favorite seasons. Decided to drive an hour north one frosty morning to see the daffodil fields. They were not quite in bloom yet but you can see them starting in the background if you view in large. Wanted to post a color one before another b&w shot that I have standing by :) Look forward to visiting your streams and checking out all your latest and greatest shots. Thanks again for stopping by. Happy Monday!

Yesterday I took my camera to a local park trying to capture some more Autumn color before it disappears. Thanks for the views and have a great week ahead!
This is a shot from the island Sotra just outside Bergen in Norway. Absolutely stunning place. My wife and I bought a couple of subway sandwiches and watched the sunset together :) Nice sandwich, nicer view, nicest company :)
Y con ellas el color , las nubes , dia de salida con los compis y de nuevo las fotos , que ganas tenía .
We found this moose in Grand Teton National Park on our last day. I guess it was the first day of the moose hunt so I hope he is still around. He didn't mind spending his breakfast time with us.
On a frosty, clear evening the first full moon of 2017 floated over the snow-capped peaks of the Rockies, a giant orb, brilliant orange against the lingering purples of the sky. I spotted this from my kitchen window, so lucky that the moonrise was exactly in a clear space between the trees on the edge of our meadow. No time or room for a tripod, so I balanced my big lens on a towel laid over the sink faucet to keep it steady.
"All of the year's full moons have names, which were given to them by Native American tribes living in the eastern and northern United States. January's full moon is known primarily as the "Wolf Moon," according to the Farmers' Almanac: 'Amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter, the wolf packs howled hungrily outside Indian villages. Thus, the name for January’s full moon.' " (SPACE.com)
Thanks a lot for your visits, comments, faves, invites, etc. Very much appreciated!

That amber and red ahead is (thankfully) not the snow plow this time. Welcome to the first day of spring... I sure wish it looked like this outside right now.

When I woke up on February 15, 2007 and looked outside I saw that we were experiencing the effects of frozen fog. Looking in every direction I saw that objects and plants were covered with a delicate coating of white. It truly was a sight to behold!
On the opposite side of the street from our house I saw that a neighbor's hedge looked like it was begging to be photographed. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to catch its beauty.
This photo was taken before the sun broke through the fog.
My theme for February 2014 is: frost

I did plan going out to photograph the Sunset but it got quite windy and brought in some cloud, which I cant really complain much as it gave me this image.
When I took this, I was standing outside of The Lobster Shack (Whitstable). The people inside enjoying a drink while keeping warm must have been looking out the window and seeing me with my coat on, a hat, scarf , gloves and wellies and probably thinking…….

A highlight just outside Essing (Bavaria) is the so—called Tatzelwurm, which is a pretty impressive waved wooden bridge and, with a lengths of more than 600 feet, also the longest one in Europe.

If you want to know a little bit more about me as a Photographer:
This is Waddy Point Headland on Fraser Island about 30 minutes before sunrise
Fraser Island is the worlds largest sand island
After my roadtrip earlier this year I spend four days touring camping and capturing this beautiful place
This was my first trip exploring this beautiful Island
We were woken at 4am by a pack of wild dingoes outside the tent howling ..... instantly your senses are tingling
After they all carried on for a minute or two they left
I had the alarm set for 4.30am anyway so I got up and checked the sky which was reasonably clear and took a couple of Astro shots of our setup before heading the kilometer or two from the campsite up to the headland which I checked out when we arrived after sunset the afternoon before
Just before arriving here I could hear the rain coming and it poured down for about 10 minutes while we huddled under the umbrella I didn`t think I would need but just in case
The showery weather made for some moody scenes
its also very much your friend when driving on sand day and night
We were there at an off peak time of year and there was very few people and traffic on the beaches
Its an amazing feeling of freedom driving on open beaches for hundreds of kilometres hardly seeing a soul with the waves running in towards you especially at low tide with a hundred meters wide hard packed beach to drive on
The left side of this image looks north towards sandy cape about 40 klms away , we passed three other vehicles along the way to Sandy Cape Lighthouse
Its a lot slower when you head inland through a range of forests and rainforests on sand tracks over bumps and roots etc
This is a 12 shot stitch shot in portrait mode
The Rawlings Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Baltimore, Maryland, is a wonderful place to visit. The architecture on the outside is just as fantastic as the flowers and plants on the inside.

Between website development and crazy licensing issues, I've been away from my actual photos for far too long. It's during busy stretches like this with the business that my time in the field chasing light and landscapes really comes into context. I'm ready for another trip and some time behind the lens!
This past summer I took an unplanned trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and was very surprised to find these pink Seashore Mallow lining the boardwalk behind the Bodie Island Lighthouse. I returned morning after morning, hoping for some reflected pink light in the sky to match the flowers. This was the best morning that I had.
RIP: Dec 6, 2016 (his birthday) - you were the best boy.

A hint of pink in the sky, mist and cloud rolling in and a high tide on Loch Slapin. This photo was taken at dusk / blue hour looking towards Bla Bheinn and other mountains just outside the main Cuillin range.

Rapeseed
Rape mustard , in dutch Raapzaad and english Rape mustard or rapeseed , is a yellow flower and belongs to the mustard family.
The flowers grow just about everywhere near the water shores in spring time. It's nice to see the yellow colours at sunrise or sunset time , they make the season even more enjoyable then it already is.
It's a flower that attracts many butterlies ans simple photographers like me.
