With the flash power set to around 1/32 or 1/16 and pointed to a wall 2-3 feet away, this is the dispersion pattern of just using the shiny side of a CD taped to the inside of the top of the 50-count CD pancake cover. Also not a good performer, and was discarded.

More sample output from this system. In this example you can see the guide splines running more-or-less horizontally between the three layers of cells. The short red lines inside each of the cells is the calculated normal.
The laser spot at ~3 m from the laserhead. Obviously, this is a long way from being a Gaussian profile, but it is still evident that the divergence is quite low for a transverse electrode nitrogen laser. Ignoring this, we're looking at about 1 cm per 3 m. Again, ignoring the fact that this is not a Gaussian profile, can anyone offer the formula for calculating the divergence of a laserbeam (in milliradians) based upon the spot size at a given distance from the laserhead?
The sports bar and restaurant, also known for its University of Illinois fandom, is known for its wings. At 1758 W. Grand Ave., it joins Uncle Mike's Place and Breakfast House as great eating places in basically a one-block stretch.
