After spending the afternoon together (his first snowhoe trip), my son waited as patiently as a 5 year old could while I took some pictures. He enjoyed the snowshoe experience but started to look at the skiers with envy...
A hot air balloon was slowly moving across the sky when I looked up. The "long" lens was on the camera and the camera was nearby. As far as I know there was no special event in the area. This was taken from our back porch. I hope you have a beautiful and safe weekend. Morgan County, Alabama - 2019
This was in the garden plot with the little plastic bath toy 'duckie' sitting on a tiny slatted wooden chair. He was formerly a favourite also in the frog bath, also in the same garden. I have met the owner of this garden plot and he knows I take photos. I sometimes add flowers to the Frog Bath for fun and take photos then also.
Farm House Aradippou is an animal shelter. All the animals are rescued. At the Farm House Aradippou they found a place to stay until their old age.
It was fun watching the balloon drift slowly along giving a different view of its patterns and colors. Morgan County, Alabama - 2019
The neighbors are at it again, setting up this sweet still life, pool, balloons & all! So much fun... hope it makes you smile like it did
me =)
Summer fun .... we made our own soapy concoction, then blew & captured the bubbles ... along with precious memories. <3

Flexibility of pilots, planners, and a host of others gave pleasure when some hot air balloons took to the sky and others tethered. In order to maintain uncrowded conditions specific locations were not announced. Of course, there were "hints" once balloons were spotted. Decatur, Alabama - 2020
. . . for Macro Mondays. The theme was Photography Gear. I put my Nikon D7100 on a stool and adjusted the focus to include sunflowers in a container on the patio. I used my Nikon D5100 and 35mm lens to capture the photograph. In order to be included in the macro group, significant cropping was done. (See previous image.)
Lee McCain, thank you for the inspiration image from New Zealand in 2015.

Papilio polyxenes, the black swallowtail, American swallowtail or parsnip swallowtail, is a butterfly found throughout much of North America.
the last light of day blankets the city beach of palma, turning the horizon into a canvas of warm, glowing hues. two children, silhouetted against the golden backdrop, lose themselves in the simple joy of playing by the water's edge. their laughter, carried by the gentle evening breeze, mingles with the rhythmic sound of the waves. this moment, framed by the distant mountains and the tranquil sea, captures the timeless essence of carefree childhood and the serene beauty of a sunset at the beach.

As the sun kisses the horizon on a perfect midsummer evening, two silhouettes leap from the diving board at Nes båthavn. The golden glow of Tønsberg in the background reflects the warmth of the season — a fleeting moment of joy, freedom, and carefree youth. The image captures the very essence of Norwegian summer: laughter, light, and living in the now.
Central Park is a large park (843 acres, 3.41 sq, km) in midtown Manhattan. Established in 1857, it was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead (American) and Calvert Vaux (English). Central Park, visited by over 37.5 million people annually, offers almost every type of outdoor activity.
This picture shows remote controlled sailboats in a pond.
The Camel Park originated in 1998 as a camel farm but the love and care of the family owners for animals welcomed several other animals as well. Today, the park is a home for more than 100 animals, including ostriches, goats, deers, ponies, wallabies, lamas, alpacas, lemurs, turtles, fish, a lot of birds and our 60 camels, that each of them has its own name and character.
Forty years ago, I used to do my student job at Bellewaerde when it was still a small amusement park. Things have changed a lot since then—Bellewaerde has grown into one of the biggest parks in Belgium! I visited with the grandkids at the end of August, and just found this photo of us enjoying the Flying Carrousel, a gentle swing ride added in 1999. It’s part of the KidsPark area but fun for everyone, letting you feel like you’re flying around in circles. Perfect for making new memories! - Ypres, Belgium
A young boy eagerly pushes off on a wooden board, smiling as he glides across the shallow water. In the background, three other children watch from the water's edge, with stilt houses visible in the distance. The image captures a playful and carefree moment in a coastal setting.
Bathsheba , Barbados - January 2025: Families enjoy a sunny day on the East coast of Barbados, playing in the sand and water. Children build sandcastles while adults relax by the ocean waves, surrounded by beautiful landscapes.
The location, Bathsheba beach is known as the Soup Bowl where local and international surfing competitions take place annually. Another notable feature of Bathsheba beach is the large boulder that sits slightly offshore, known by some as Bathsheba Rock.
One of 2 photos taken yesterday at my daughter Arisa's home. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor play, especially since we had no snow in Toronto. Best seen large by pressing Z or clicking on the photo.
Thanks for your visits and feedback, stay blessed.
