kodak colorplus 200 film - outdated (october 2018)
Recorded in late 2008 at Biasca, Bombardier TRAXX F140 AC1 locomotive 185 142 complete with Railion branding leads a train of covered steel wagons heading south to Chiasso and onward into Italy.
The Railion DB Logistics corporate name/logo had been introduced in October 2005, being one of several rebranding initiatives in that decade that in turn produced detailed logo changes to the basic 'DB' fleet livery. It was short-lived, the operator changing its name to DB Schenker in September 2007.

I have a Canon Eos 1v which was the last professional film camera produced by Canon. It's a beautiful piece of equipment which I should use more often as it guarantees excellent results. The film I used for these images was Fujifilm Provia 100. It was only slightly outdated so I decided to expose it at box speed. There was not one duff exposure on the whole roll and I was delighted.
One thing which did catch me out was the fact that I'm so used to using cameras and lenses which have some form of vibration control that I overlooked the fact I was using a long lens at a slow shutter speed, resulting in blurred images.
This is Tarskavaig in the south of Skye.

The MiG-29 has always been my favorite aircraft (with the F-14 being a veeery close second). It was also the very first big-scale model I have ever make . But it was almost 10 years ago and that model has become pretty outdated, which was painfully reminded to me by numerous, beautiful Fulcrums models coming in the last few years. I have to mention here the model by Kurt’s MOC , who really set a standard for the Lego MiG-29s. There are also some other, beautiful, bigger-than-minifig scale models: the one by Adam Czifra, and the one by Attila Ferenc, which I just wish will be finished someday. All those MOCs made excellent use of the newly available curved slopes, wedges, and tiles, which are a true game-changer when it comes to modeling Fulcrum. So after finishing Tomcat I decided it’s time to make a new MiG-29 from scratch, to fully exploit the new possibilities. The first decision was to go with a 3-studs wide canopy, as I hated the proportions from the old model. This drastically changed the approach to the rest of the MOC. I also wanted to go with a more SNOT-oriented design, just to make it look more “compatible” with the Tomcat. As a result, the internal structure turned out to be rather complex despite the relatively small size of the model. So, know about the model itself. It depicts the #108 aircraft of Polish Air Force, from 23rd Tactical Base stationed in Mińsk Mazowiecki (previously 1st Fighter Regiment. The aircraft was a part of the original delivery of MiG-29s from the Soviet Union back in 1990. It was also a part of a limited modernization program conducted between 2011-2014, with the main focus being the improvement of the navigational suit and man-machine interface. The modernized machines were dubbed as “MiG-29M”, not to be mistaken with the MiG-29M (izd. 9.15) developed in the 80s/90s in the Soviet Union. Since the 23rd Tactical Base continue the tradition of the “Kościuszko Squadron”, which can be traced back to 1919 and includes the famous No. 303 Sqn, which fought valiantly during the Battle of Britain in 1940, after the modernization, all fighters were updated with the commemorative paint schemes, including the so-called “Kościuszko badge”, which can be seen on full display at the top of each aircraft. Furthermore, each plane was given an artwork, which reminded some of the most famous ace pilots flying for the “Kościuszko Squadron”. In the case of 108, its patron is F/Lt Ludwik Paszkiewicz (1907-1940), an ace credited with 6 aerials victories while flying with No. 303 Sqd. He was also the author of the first victory credited to No. 303. Unfortunately, he was killed in combat during the Battle of Britain. Today, his portraits can be seen on the vertical stabilizers of 108. The model is in 1:33 scale with the working features including: openable cockpit with detailed interior, movable flaps and stabilizers, working airbrakes, and retractable landing gear. The weapon load is a typical QRA loadout, consisting of two R-73 air-to-air missiles, and the underbelly fuel tank. In general, I am really pleased with how it turned out. As can be seen here, I was able to get a pretty good accuracy for the side view. I am especially proud of the fuselage spine, as I was able to get both the side view and cross-sections correct. Another feature is the canted air intakes – I think this is the first MiG-29 model in such scale to include them. As usual, the model could be a bit more rigid, but for such a small model, you can’t get everything at the same time. Also, the retracting of the main landing gear is always a challenge. Lastly, the stickers’ color is not perfect, especially in terms of dark-bluish grey, but it has already held me back for a few weeks, so I decided to go with the current iteration.
Nephritis (from the ancient Greek νεφρός - kidney; outdated kidney stone is a mineral of the amphibole group with a characteristic fibrous structure. One of the valuable qualities of this mineral is its extremely high toughness - jade is difficult to split. Jade has a wide palette of colors: from almost white through all shades of green (yellowish, grassy, emerald, marsh) to brown and almost black. There are still white, grayish, blue and red jade, but these varieties are rare and very valuable. Coloring depends on the content of iron and impurities of chromium and manganese. Samples with a uniform color are valued more than uneven (striped, spotty, “cloudy”). Nephrite is used as an ornamental stone and as a unique material for the manufacture of jewelry and decorative and artistic products. Since ancient times, jade has acquired particular importance in the culture of China, being in essence its "national stone".

kodak gold 100 bright light film - expired 08/2000, yes, the film is 17 years past date.
Continuing with the theme of outdated vintage entertainment gadgets, I present the vintage movie projector.
This one was a fast build and I managed to build this and one other MOC done while talking on the phone with a friend.
This is based off an actual photo I found and the hardest part was figuring out how to get the reels on the body without bulking the body up to much. Thankfully 2 little lift arms and 2 taps came to my rescue!
since this film is 20 years past expiration the color was less than impressive, so, lose the color and go b&w.

I took out the outdated ILFORD XP2 400 Super from my 1956 AGFA ISOLETTE III and re-loaded it into my 'Gift' MAMIYA C330 F from a 92 year old Camera Club Member . I had 4 frames left. I used it in Weald Country Park near BRENTWOOD Town , metering by a WESTON MASTER V Incident Light Method . The negs were 'THIN' but scanned well. My Legs were sore after walking about 3 miles from home and around Park carrying heavy MAMIYA TLR's !!

In the 1960s Citroën renewed the design and technics of their outdated Type 55 (and U23 series) truck series. Flaminio Bertoni (It., 1903-1964) was asked for the cabin design. He was succeeded by Robert Opron (Fr., 1932-2021).
This N and P Series light trucks would be one of the last creations of Bertoni.
This Belphégor truck range was available as N350 up to N850, depending on the load capacity and fuel types.
The owner told me he had an older Belphégor truck with a broken engine. He bought this PD 600 initially to replace the engine. But he decided to keep this one and sold the other one.

I am not too skinny, too fat, too short, too tall. I am not outdated. I am me, I look how I do and I freaking love it. 2020 is going to be the year of loving myself and not let anyone else decide who that is. I am, and who I am is an amazing woman who bugs her friends on the daily, has issues, has off days, spends hours zoned out to music and taking photos.
And honestly? I couldn't ask to be anything better!

Just going through various not-for-public pictures and deleting them. This one seemed like a shame to get rid of, on account of the fact that I actually really liked the VTOL, It just failed to give a sufficiently futury-vibe to justified my continued work on it.
Alone on a train aimless in wonder
An outdated map crumbled in my pocket
But I didn't care where I was going
'Cause they're all different names for the same place.
The coast disappeared when the sea drowned the sun
And I knew no words to share with anyone
The boundaries of language I quietly cursed
And all the different names for the same thing
There are different names for the same things
There are different names for the same things...
Lyrics from the song, "Different Names for the Same Thing" by Death Cab for Cutie. I've been contemplating which picture to pair with this song for some time now (usually it's the other way around). It's a new song for me, from a great CD, and a song I often think about while running.
Let us start by saying this: I've traveled. At least in terms of the U.S. I've been to about 36 states, have lived now in the Midwest, on the East Coast and on the West Coast. And then let us add in this: I'm a runner. You might say a jogger, depending on if you have speed qualifications differentiating the two, but I say a runner, because gosh dangit: it's hard work. I didn't become addicted to running until college, and sometimes I do slack on my mileage, but I don't think a week's gone by in the last eight or so years when I haven't gotten at least one run in.
The best part about running is that you can take it anywhere with you. A pair of shorts, a pair of shoes, and you're good to go. Running is an activity that you get excited to take with you: imagine the roads that await you! Imagine the trails, the beaches, the towns. Some of my most vivid memories of places have been recorded while running. A path through the redwoods in California. The narrow, stony streets of Viejo San Juan in Puerto Rico. A frosty stretch of highway through rural Connecticut.
Which brings me to my point: after a while, I have come to realize that there are so many places that resemble one another. I'll be running around a particular corner, or climbing a particular hill, or a particular wind will hit me, and a feeling of such strong deja vu fills me. For instance, last week I was rounding a corner on Sauvie's Island and a gently rolling hill opened up in front of me, and suddenly my mind flashed back to a particular stretch of road in Connecticut. And I thought: they are the same place.
These places: they may have diffferent names, but they are the same place. There are different names for the same thing. Maybe it's only a mild amazement to others, but it's something I marvel about on a regular basis. "Small world," people say, when they run into someone they're not expecting to. "Small world," I think while out running, and come across a stretch of road that I've seen before, half a country away.
This image, by the way, was taken with my pinhole camera, somewhere near Palouse Falls. It was a bit of a challenge to balance the pinhole on my dash, open the shutter for two seconds and then close it, all while driving, but a managable challenge.

So with the return of the walking dead on Monday, I wanted to revamp my rather outdated figure.
Rick is completely re-painted, using the legolas head for the face's base (credit to Shane who i believe used it first).
Head is based off his appearance in the final promo for the new season after ________ is lucilled and presumably their blood splatters/is wiped across his face.
Additonally I attempted to use some shading in his jacket and on the legs, having a base colour brown/black then adding white, red and lighter brown ontop.
Rick's Python revolver is an extended old-school lego pistol. I don't have any of the fancy moulded weapons, so tend to stick with modified lego parts, hence this is a little too chunky, but works nevertheless.
As always comments appreciated. Shoutout to Shane and Aaron for inspiring me to get back into Walking Dead figures.
Tomorrow Ill be posting a pair shot with Rick and Negan with an updated Lucille. Planning on adding some painted glue or whatever to give her a blood (and brain) soaked sticky mess.

Seeing as the US airs the episode a day ahead of the rest of the world;
1. I wont be online three hours after now, till 10 hours later to avoid spoilers.
2. If you not a twat, don't post images/screenshots whatever of the new episode's death etc As you'l ruin it for everyone else.
The safe time to do so it 25 hours from now, after the show airs internationally.
Dont. Be. A. Dick. (Or its gonna be pee pee pants city for you).
