Modified Paradise is a series of sculptural works made from “luminescent silk” – created by genetically modified silkworms developed by adding the genes of glowing jellyfish and corals. The dress, which floats within a frame with no body, aims to encourage us to think about the extremes and limitations of the interaction between art, science, and technology.

Digital interface meets purely analogue sound. Analog sound generators, based on magnetic tape and optical components controlled via graphic score composed with digital interface.
The APPARATUM was inspired by the heritage of the Polish Radio Experimental Studio—one of the first studios in the world producing electroacoustic music. The installation draws inspirations musically and graphically from the Symphony – Electronic Music composed by Bogusław Schaeffer. Bogusław Schaeffer conceived his own visual language of symbols that conveyed the cues for the sound engineer responsible for the production of the piece.

Journey on the Tongue is a totally new taste and sound installation which invites you on a spectacular multi-sensory journey. Realized by the three artists Ayako Suwa, the pursuer of “Expressive food,” sound artist Evala, the founder of “See by Your Ears,” and media artist Yasuaki Kakehi, who explores new haptic experiences. This work is a new perception of sound and taste.

Something else 'outside the box' - taking pics of strangers. This is something I don't ususally do... Once again, the Hampton Court Flower Show was an ideal place for people pics. Clearly I'm no expert in this field....

The Ars Electronica Center offers its visitors something that cannot be found anywhere else in the world: 16 x 9 meters of wall and another 16 x 9 meters of floor projection, laser tracking and 3D-animations make the Deep Space 8K something very special indeed.
Furthermore, Deep Space 8K presents challenging infrastructure to media artists. As they go about adapting existing works and, above all, designing installations custom-made for this space, they’re entering artistic terra incognita. The position of visitors amidst the projection surface and participation by them call for a well-thought-out aesthetic composition and concepts for the resulting dynamics.

The front of a car is always the most destinctive mark. The wide construction with this prominent red horizontal line framing the aeration cover underlines the sheer power of the V8 engine below the hood.
wanted to shoot all the scavenger items while i was here in the NL. jen said she’d never seen a red letterbox, but i got thinking about a workaround. ~grin~ so here you have a red letter(ed) box.

trying to make something out of nothing has its challenges, for me only one or two things could make a rather 'blah' shot become interesting. after creating a selective color, I flipped it 90 degrees counter-clockwise and that made this much more interesting to me.
did it while listening to danger mouse's new release 'rome'. i'm preparing myself :)
Impression from the shutdown of the Fridays for Future festival shutdown.
#FridaysForFuture is a movement that began in August 2018, after 15 years old Greta Thunberg sat in front of the Swedish parliament every schoolday for three weeks, to protest against the lack of action on the climate crisis. She posted what she was doing on Instagram and Twitter and it soon went viral.
On the 8th of September, Greta decided to continue striking every Friday until the Swedish policies provided a safe pathway well under 2-degree C, i.e. in line with the Paris agreement.
The hashtags #FridaysForFuture and #Climatestrike spread and many students and adults began to protest outside of their parliaments and local city halls all over the world. This has also inspired the Belgium Thursday school strikes.

Would you like to go to the cinema?
This MOC ist built in a very characteristc shape as you can probably tell. The triangle shaped building was a real challenge to built. As the house is a cinema I found it appropriate to make a part of the wall with some banner ads to save some lego bricks. On top of the cinema there is a luxury penthouse with swimming pool and perfect view over the city.
