Barge pile up at the Stennis lock & dam, near Columbus, MS.

The two barges apparently broke loose from there mooring up river near the Clay County port and floated down river and struck the the dam where they are sitting parallel to the dam portion of the structure.

From the parking garage attached to the Interstate bank, looking NW to NE 14 shot pano.

After shooting stars from the ridge above Sunrise Visitor Center, we came to Reflection Lake in hopes of getting shots of Mount Rainier reflected in the water while being bathed in sunrise light. Well, the mist had other plans for us and it blanketed everything, so I looked for Plan B shots. This shot is made with a fisheye lens while looking through the remains of a tree trunk and out across Reflection Lake toward the north east.

The only thing that was not peaceful about this shot was the hungry mosquitos. The best part then, dear viewer, about this picture, is that you can enjoy what I enjoyed without the mosquitoes.
