Just before the heavens open… SR Merchant Navy Class steam locomotive No. 35028 'Clan Line' arrives at Bristol Temple Meads with a Belmond Pullman rail tour from London Victoria on 19th May 2021.
Belmond British Pullman is a private luxury train that operates day and weekend journeys around Britain and also conveys passengers of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express between London and Folkestone, as part of their journey to Venice and other European cities.
Restored to their former glory, British Pullman's carriages are as famous today as in the heyday of train travel.
This restaurant is a replica of a dining car of the Orient Express.

La BB 25236 ramène la rame POE sur Paris après un week-end d'exposition à Lyon pour les journées du Patrimoine, le train repart après un arrêt au carré à l'entrée de Chagny.

No longer. It still goes but only to Belgrade and the old rusty trains are far cry from the luxury it once epitomised. Slightly more fancy, there's another short operation from the western end (Paris to Vienna, I think, or even shorter). And this building, rather neglected is a sad shadow of its former glory...

Orient express arriving in Amsterdam on its way to Venice: a special occasion (I heard ticket prices were 4000 euros!)
Etappenweise werden 52 1227 und 52 7612 mit Orientwagen von Wien über Passau, Hof, Mehltheuer und Gera nach Hamburg überführt. Heute Morgen brachte RIS 203 843 den Zug von Hof Hbf nach Gera Hbf.
Bei Pausa im Vogtland klickte bei bescheidenem Wetter der Auslöser.

Für eine bessere Fotostelle hat es leider nicht gereicht...
