"...I have spent the last 4 years living in this van as I traveled through 49 states for fun and to complete my medical degree at various clinical institutions around the US. I could have stuck it out in one hospital the whole time like my classmates, but I saw the oppurtunity to roam in my van and grasped it. The pictures you see here are from the last two years only, as this is when I bought my digital camera..."

Tom Hall played at Harvest Sessions on Saturday, October 20 from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Harvest Sessions is presented by KDHX Community Media, The Whitaker Foundation and Tower Grove Farmers' Market and takes place every Saturday at the West Pool Pavilion in Tower Grove Park for the duration of Tower Grove Farmers' Market's regular season. Tom Hall has been performing for over twenty years and has won national and local acclaim for his exceptional blues guitar work. Harvest Sessions is free and open to the public.

Tom Hall has played in countless bands, but his solo performances truly capture audiences. He wanders through the sounds of Argentina, Ireland and Africa, but he always returns to his musical roots. When he is playing Mississippi-inspired blues, he shines like his signature National guitar. If you have not yet seen Hall play live, don't miss this oppurtunity to catch one of St. Louis' most talented artists.

The 2007 inaugural season of Harvest Sessions has featured great concerts from local and regional performers. With Tower Grove Farmers' Market as the backdrop, Harvest Sessions also hosted an International and Children's Series that proved very popular in the community. KDHX Community Media, The Whitaker Foundation and Tower Grove Farmers' Market are proud to sponsor this free concert series on Saturday morning.

So I've been planning on doing a project for a while, and I had some ideas. "What I want to do before I die" was one of them.

So then when I was at the county fair, I was completely caught off guard at him being there. I didn't know who he was, but my friend did, and he had a swarm of people around him, so then I just asked if he would like to participate.

So I wasn't really able to think of a better idea so then I just asked him about this.

I'll probably change my project in the future.

Yeah, so this is Matthew Underwood from Zoey 101.

this is such a bad picture.

i didn't know how to use the flash on my camera yet since i haven't had the oppurtunity to. so then when i finally figured it out, the photo still came out weird. since i was on a weird setting. so this is what the picture is. it's not blurry and it's not as dark.

Must've been one one of, if not, my most favorite wedding I've photographed. Exceptional location, Exceptional bride and groom, Exceptional guests, and the perfect window of oppurtunity to shoot. Congrats to the both of you!

Just before monsoon this is a how people making best use of the oppurtunity, in just a couple of weeks from now this river will be having flood like situation after heavy rains ! I will put a picture of it for comparing !

My Sweden didn't only lose to Germany, they also did a really bad game. And there was a obviously drunk maniac running around the field blowing a whistle and waving with some card...

Flickr feels like a good place for me to let out my disappointment, becaus it also gives me the oppurtunity to give my congratulations to my German friends.

"School and court house. Dated 1661, but this is misleading; building probably late C16... Two storeys with attic, 8 bays irregular fenestration.... a false 3-centred arch doorway without label, with a large stone panel over bearing the arms of William Strode of Barrington (who acquired part of Martock manor in 1637), and the legend "SCHOLA TRILINGUIS DEUS TRIN/UNI DEO GLORIA MARTOCK/ NEGLECT NOT THY OPPURTUNITIES/FUNDATA ANNO DOMMINI 1661" .

"Originally built as the Church House, perhaps around 1485. This may be the date the re-building of the nave of the Church began. Upstairs was then one big room, used rather as a Village Hall is today, for all manner of village events. Its primary purpose was to raise money for the huge cost of late mediaeval church services, which involved large amounts of candles, vestments, ceremonial objects and theatre.

At the south end of the ground floor is a ‘smoke bay’, an early form of fireplace. This was used as a bake and malthouse, hired out for communal baking and brewing of church ales.

At the north end is a fine parlour with huge fireplace and richly moulded framed ceiling.

Assemblies and the drinking of church ales, were despised by the Puritans after the Reformation in the mid 16th century, and most church houses were closed down.

In 1661 the Lord of the Manor, William Strode, had a third storey built under a new roof, and a headstone put over the door to commemorate its re-opening as a school. This fee paying ‘Grammar School’ continued until the 19th century."

The only time the weather cleared the entire weekend was when I was at the arch, it led to some great photographic oppurtunities.

Ahh, such a lovely day today! I'm so glad it rained for a little bit, it gave me an oppurtunity to take some water pictures!

Another sunset photo oppurtunity on the American River in Sacramento. Very glad to see the sky show some great clouds during the final light. The only people remaining afterward were the fisherman who used flashlights occasionally for viewing. Did several compositions with the Tamron 10-24mm lens. Turns out that the shorter exposure was more preferred than having the movement in the clouds which were moving fast due to the wind. This is a single raw image edited in LR.

When Alice was little and first was living with me she liked to sleep with her head next to my face and would bury her nose in my hair. Very quickly though she decided that Maggie was her best friend and started cuddling up to her at every oppurtunity. Maggie was already 10 when Alice came along and wasn't too crazy about all of the chaos that goes along with having a puppy in the house. She was a very kind and tolerant dog though and put up with everything that Alice threw her way. They ended up becoming the best of friends.

A cherished project of mine to capture and document the life by the gigantic river Brahmaputra that enters India in the north-eastern frontier state of Arunachal, travels through Assam and has its confluence with the ocean in Bengal.

I have been having discussions with quite a few eminent who have been born an brought up on the banks of this river. I have just started the project as I my work has started taking me to Dibrugarh University where I have become a catalyst to empower the youth of Assam. It is a blessing.

First of the dancers who have been kind to participate are two students, Sattriya dancers, from centre of performing arts at DU - Bhagyashree Senapati and Purasmita Bordoloi; Also I had an oppurtunity to capture.a bunch of youth who do their physical training on the banks of Brahmaputra, The fishermen's village that lives on Brahmaputra

Madingley Hall, Cambridgeshire, 2 Apr 2015

Madingley Hall was built by Sir John Hynde in 1543 and occupied as a residence by his descendants until the 1860s. It is surrounded by parkland. Queen Victoria rented the Hall in 1860 for her son Edward (the future King Edward VII) to live in while he was an undergraduate at Cambridge University. The family sold the Hall in 1871.

The Hall and its surrounding park and farmland have been owned by the University of Cambridge since 1948 and is currently the home of the Institute of Continuing Education.

The earliest recorded image of the gardens is an engraving dating from 1705, showing a formal, Dutch-style garden to the north and east of the Hall. This formal style soon fell victim to the prevailing trend for naturalistic parkland, however, and in 1756, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown was employed to create fashionable, modern gardens. The Yew Topiary Gardens were added in 1927.

I did not know whether it was open to the public, so when I saw an advert for an Open Day I seized the oppurtunity.

Thought I'd use the oppurtunity to take some scenic photos as I found myself wondering where the bloody hell 'Bloomfield' was near Taunton. Ended up wandering in all kinds of directions and found this great spot.

On a visit to Hohenwerfen Fortress we visted the bird of pray flight show. It was a fabulous show with lots of fantastic birds, and a great oppurtunity to practice on photographing these big and agile birds.

Unfortunatly the light was really challenging forcing me to high ISO (up to 1600 on several shots), which my D5000 is not that fond of. That said, 5 minutes after the show ended, it started raining - so all in all we were pretty lucky.

For this I hand held using my Nikon 18-200mm VRII @ 170mm. No crop.

Bhakti Summer Sangha 2016

The second year of the Bhakti Summer Sangha was a great success, as it gave an oppurtunity to the younger generations to explore spirituality and practice activities such as meditation, kirtan, satsang, seva, and much more among their own peers.

The Summer Sangha has a schedule built around the 9 forms of Bhakti, so that each day the kids and young adults a taste of each of the forms of devotion. The participants are getting a chance to participate in workshops on music, on meditation, and throughout everything, on building a deeper and sweeter relationship to God - in the Guru, in His many many avatars, in the people, and especially within themselves.

I was hoping to escape the cold, dreary weather in Omaha, NE during spring break but I guess it followed me to Chattanooga. It's such a shame since Tennessee is a beautiful, picturesque state and I didn't have the oppurtunity to take some shots.

Hanging around the photography department at B&H with Stu Helm (@stuhelm on the Twitter). He came to NYC for a couple of weeks, so I took advantage of the oppurtunity to meet him in person.

Shot this with the store's Nikkor AF-S VR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF (which can be seen in flickr.com/photos/mikeperl/3305626584/) mounted on my D40. B&H is truly a great store.

Journeying through the photographic world. Every wednesday, Staffordshire University students are given the oppurtunity to hear famous photographers talk about their work. 20/10/10 still life and landscape photographer, John Blakemore.

I have the oppurtunity to visit SM Mall of Asia and go on sunset shooting on this beautiful site with a very good friend Emar Vergara of PASAR CORPORATION.

We are on training from November 16-20 at SIEMENS Makati for S7-300 Advance PLC Programming Course.

No time for post processing, this is just a single exposure shot.

Help-Portrait, a global initiative that brings photographers, hairstylist, and makeup artist together to use their skills to give back to those in need. This year Help-Portrait Las Vegas partnered with the U.S. Vets center in downtown Las Vegas to work with homeless veterans on the path to recovery to

capture their portraits and share their stories. These are some of my favorites from the day.

Day 2 of our diving adventures began on dive site 777, followed by Tuna Alley. Our first oppurtunity to spear the invasive Lion Fish as well, there are many videos to go with this set of photos. An amazing day, started with a fantastic breakfast cooked on board.

I've gone two days without doing a YIP. But with the gorgeous sky today, there was no way I was letting the oppurtunity slide again. This is the historic Adluh Flour mill in Columbia, SC. I tried to use a mostly empty parking lot to get new vantage points.

The students of the university Coburg offered the oppurtunity to make a DIY upcycled lamp, which I of course happily accepted. With the help of a friendly technically talented French young lady (see middle) we were able to create a lampshade. My one was called "Levin" dedicated to the name of the male student who sewed the pieces of the lamp together.

I visited the IMM 2014 and I want to show you what inspired me on this furniture fair.
