Sixteen Year 9 girls from 13 Hampshire schools undertook a residential work experience programme from the 16-20 February 2009 on HMS Bristol. The girls and three staff from the Women in Science and Engineering campaign visited HMS Sultan on the 17 and 19 February 2009. The aim of the visit was for the girls to have an oppurtunity for practical experience in engineering and to meet female engineer role models. This visit also aimed to increase the girls interest in engineering and inspire them to take engineering up as a career.

Taken at the start of the womens tour 2014 in Oundle, Unfortunatley (or fortunatly dependant of your view point) I got stuck in a traffic jam due to the rolling road closures for 20min, so took the oppurtunity to grab the camera and get some shots as they passed by

Halfway into Hoge Veluwe National Park, this photo oppurtunity comes along. Sadly, this is the only picture I got. They had two parrots with them...
During this Summer Break, I took the oppurtunity to participate in a teaching program organized by a school club that I am currently involved in. We visited a local school in Pakkret, Thailand where we taught Primary school children the basic skills of English.
On one particular week, my peers and I focused our lesson on 'emotions'. We drew different expressions on the whiteboard along with the vocabulary that goes along with it. Not only did the kids enjoy the new knowledge they gained that day, they were also able to express their creativity on the lesson we taught them, just as this kid pictured above has done.

A cherished project of mine to capture and document the life by the gigantic river Brahmaputra that enters India in the north-eastern frontier state of Arunachal, travels through Assam and has its confluence with the ocean in Bengal.
I have been having discussions with quite a few eminent who have been born an brought up on the banks of this river. I have just started the project as I my work has started taking me to Dibrugarh University where I have become a catalyst to empower the youth of Assam. It is a blessing.
First of the dancers who have been kind to participate are two students, Sattriya dancers, from centre of performing arts at DU - Bhagyashree Senapati and Purasmita Bordoloi; Also I had an oppurtunity to capture.a bunch of youth who do their physical training on the banks of Brahmaputra, The fishermen's village that lives on Brahmaputra

Former Chevron Gas Station located at 3004 Andrade Rd. in Sunol,CA. In 2003 the place was closed and would sit vacant until 2006 when a new owner acquired the gas station. The new owner renamed the gas station Sunol Super Stop and has set the gas prices far below the average for the area. Im really curious as the why the prices are so low here as the closest gas station is more than 3 miles away creating the perfect oppurtunity to price gouge. But that is not the case as this gas station is well kept, stocked (in the food mart), and has 100 and 110 grade racing fuels available.
The end of winters here, meaning warmer weather, longer days and dusting off your bike. I had the oppurtunity to get some shots of an old friend i use to mountain bike with.
Didn't get many images, due to him misjudging a jump and damaging his front wheel and forks. This shot is by far the best shot of the day.
Hopefully should have more mountain bike photos over the months to come leading into summer.
Karate Monkey's new drivetrain. SIS 2011 wrecked the drive train so a new BB and chain was in order... and a perfect oppurtunity to change the ring and cog. Used Homebrewed Components cog and ring. Great stuff! The chain is a ultra cheap KMC chain.

These guys actually asked me first if I would take a picture of them with their camera. Seeing the oppurtunity, I asked if I could shoot them and coaxed them into looking as tough as possible.
(Sorry for the large number of posts lately. I am leaving on a 3 week vacation tomorrow and just want to make sure I get through as many pictures as I can because I have a terrible habit of never revisiting old shoots. I hope to do one last post before I leave tomorrow.)

The three wise men, three kings, or biblical magi (Zoroastrians): Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar.
Part of the 'Wonderlijke Klim' exhibition. The 'wondrous climb' gives visitors what might be a once in a lifetime oppurtunity to see the 96 unique sculptures on the flying butresses of the Sint Janskathedraal in (saint John's cathedral) in 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch). The Sint Jan is only one of four cathedrals in the world to have such sculptures. Instead of saints or angels, they depict monsters and common city people, from the architects and masons who worked on the cathedral, to beggars and musicians.
The 'wonderlijke klim' exhibition coincides with the grand Jheronymous Bosch exhibition at the Noord-Brabants Museum in Den Bosch, celebrating the 500th anniversary of the painter's death. Like the paintings of Bosch, the sculptures on the cathedral butresses are from the late middle ages, and depict monsters and common folk, which was a new theme in art at that time. Art from the early and high middle ages often depicted saints, angels and biblical scenes, but certainly not the common workfolk or even beggars. To have them adorning the outside of the cathedral no less, is very unique, and something that could only have been concieved in that particular time and place. Apparently, Jheronymous Bosch personally knew the artist very well who designed these sculptures.

For his 18th Birthday we gave Michael something he had wanted for years- the oppurtunity to drive a Supercar!!! In fact several- we gave him an 'Ultimate Supercar and Rally Driving Experience'. To say he enjoyed in is an understatement!!

once in a lifetime oppurtunity
Virginia lake was very pretty mostly because of the fall colors and the mountain covered with snow. The lighting was perfect too. However when i reached the place, there was no sign of any clouds and i was bit dissapointed because of it. After i spent a while with my wife and friends near the lake, i saw few clouds but almost in the opposite direction. I waited for around 1.5 hrs and finally the clouds came over the mountain. I did not miss the oppurtunity and took the shot.
Since the light was so perfect, i hardly have to do anything for the post processing.
Amber outside the studio during last weekends (05/18) photo safari shoot. This was my first oppurtunity to work with Amber and she was absolutely wonderful. I hope to shoot much more with her....

A friend came over and took us her garden in the forest. There was lots of oppurtunity to play with my new camera!

Bhakti Summer Sangha 2016
The second year of the Bhakti Summer Sangha was a great success, as it gave an oppurtunity to the younger generations to explore spirituality and practice activities such as meditation, kirtan, satsang, seva, and much more among their own peers.
The Summer Sangha has a schedule built around the 9 forms of Bhakti, so that each day the kids and young adults a taste of each of the forms of devotion. The participants are getting a chance to participate in workshops on music, on meditation, and throughout everything, on building a deeper and sweeter relationship to God - in the Guru, in His many many avatars, in the people, and especially within themselves.
