Momento Mori-
Some people live their lives as if each day will be their last. Some approach love the same way,in a desperate attempt to outrun the tiny changes or huge ones that are always looming on each of our horizons. But the sense of urgency that comes from wanting to experience life and love to the fullest can force decisios that are not always in your best intrest or anyone else's,for that matter. In fact, sometimes facing the consequences of your choices can be even worse than death. You may live only once, but you don't necessrily want it to feel like forever.
Sometimes You Have To Go It Alone-
No guts,no glory.Like a kamikaze, there are times when you may be required to leave the life you knew behind and give it over to a greater purpose. The costs can be high,to your heart, soul, and reputation.Whether or not what you gain will ultimately outweigh what you gave is impossible to know, and really irrelevant.Your comfort comes in the knowledge that some things are worth sacrificing for.
Keep The Change-
Holding on to someone you know you have to let go of is not just a way to delay the inevitable for them, but for yourself,as well.It protects you from having to make the transition you are about to impose until you are good and ready.Like canceling on an out of town guest you've been longing to see,but never quite had the time to plan for,its the convenient, easy way out-for you.
I Against I-
We are often so distracted by the internal war between what we want to do and what we have to do that we overlook what we need to do.Not need in the sense of an obligation to others, but in the sense of a compulsion to preserve our own sanity. When doing what others think we should do comes into direct conflict with what our heads or hearts demand,it's time to choose wether our top priority is to please others or to please ourselves.
Missed Oppurtunity-
We don't miss what we never had,but we miss terribly things we almost had.And we miss things we used to have most of all.Though we hope and pray for our relationships, our looks, and our lives to improve, having more also means having more to lose.
Critical Condition-
just as love blinds us to imperfections in others,it magnifies those we see in ourselves.but if this is true, then the opposite must also be the case.we can take comfort in the fact that our faults will be invisable to those who love us.The success or failure of any relationship depends not just on how we feel about eachother, but on how we make each other feel about ourselves.
thats all i can get for now,my fingers are killing me.
all quotes are from the book,Ghostgirl Lovesick by Tonya Hurley,an amazing writer,i love her books <3
i hate how this makes her face look filthy >.<

I know, first photo I have uploaded in a while. While this is not a well known band, i thought I would comment on this photo since this was the band that gave me the most satisfaction shooting that night.
This show was at Concrete Street in Corpus Christi, TX (www.concretestreet.net) It was on the main stage, and is like my third or forth show here. The lighting is wonderfull, and the stage is tall. But when smaller bands come up to play, they come right up to the end of the stage offering some really good shots. Another thing about this shoot, was that one of my favorite photographers was there. His name is Ash Newell (www.ashnewell.com) and he is the on the road photographer for bands like Whitesnake, Hinder, and Def Leapard. He recently got off tour with Taylor Swift. He is a very nice guy, and seeing him up on stage is what got me started on concert photography in the first place.
This show was good, followed by Whitesnake starting with the sun still up and ending right after dark, giving me some good lens change oppurtunities and some great lighting changes. After that, Judas Priest played and that was a treat with me 50mm 1.8. I wish I could have gotten some better pics with a better lens, but in my humble opinion, the shots came out pretty good for the gear I am using.
This week the new D700 and 70-200mm Nikon gear is announced. Starting to save up to take my photography to the next step. The 50mm is great for learners and bars, but for the big venues and paying customers, i am going to need some better gear. Please review the entire set, with more pictures coming daily as I edit and upload. have a nice day!

This is my first, semi-serious attempt for a video. My new Canon 500D has a video feature and I try to learn how to use it, one step at a time.
The oppurtunity was given by the iReport website and their weekend assignment called "Walk in our shoes". They were calling people from all over the world to show a piece of their town, while taking a walk. The video had to be less than a minute, to be continuous (no montage) and to star and finish with a shot at my feet. I chose to go at the Alkazar park in my hometown, Larissa, one of the greatest places in my city, with lots of green and realitvely quiet!
The video is pretty mediocre but really useful! It has so many mistakes, so many wrong things I know the next one will be much better. I now know what to watch out for and what to correct...
