Bhakti Summer Sangha 2016
The second year of the Bhakti Summer Sangha was a great success, as it gave an oppurtunity to the younger generations to explore spirituality and practice activities such as meditation, kirtan, satsang, seva, and much more among their own peers.
The Summer Sangha has a schedule built around the 9 forms of Bhakti, so that each day the kids and young adults a taste of each of the forms of devotion. The participants are getting a chance to participate in workshops on music, on meditation, and throughout everything, on building a deeper and sweeter relationship to God - in the Guru, in His many many avatars, in the people, and especially within themselves.

Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra consists of the 200 most promising students in Venezuela's famous and ground breaking musical education for youth, El Sistema. The program was founded in 1975 by the visionary conductor and economist José Antonio Abreu. The network of youth otchestras gives oppurtunities and inspiration to more than 250,00 children from all over Venezuela - a country where 75% of the population lives under the poverty line.
The Konserthus in Oslo, one of the most emblematic theaters in the cultural life of Norway, opens its home page with the announcement of the concert that the Venezuelan orchestra will perform on June 11 in that city, cradle of the Nobel Prize. ”Margariteña” will be heard in this venue, composed by Inocente Carreño, who turned 90 years old in 2010; and ”Danzas del Ballet La Estancia” by Ginastera, and the Fourth Symphony by Tchaikovsky will also be performed.
This way, with music interpreted with Latin-American style, the Venezuelan orchestra top of the social and artistic project conceived by master José Antonio Abreu 35 years ago, will leave its print in Oslo, one of the most relevant cities in the humanistic field.

A cherished project of mine to capture and document the life by the gigantic river Brahmaputra that enters India in the north-eastern frontier state of Arunachal, travels through Assam and has its confluence with the ocean in Bengal.
I have been having discussions with quite a few eminent who have been born an brought up on the banks of this river. I have just started the project as I my work has started taking me to Dibrugarh University where I have become a catalyst to empower the youth of Assam. It is a blessing.
First of the dancers who have been kind to participate are two students, Sattriya dancers, from centre of performing arts at DU - Bhagyashree Senapati and Purasmita Bordoloi; Also I had an oppurtunity to capture.a bunch of youth who do their physical training on the banks of Brahmaputra, The fishermen's village that lives on Brahmaputra

Sixteen Year 9 girls from 13 Hampshire schools undertook a residential work experience programme from the 16-20 February 2009 on HMS Bristol. The girls and three staff from the Women in Science and Engineering campaign visited HMS Sultan on the 17 and 19 February 2009. The aim of the visit was for the girls to have an oppurtunity for practical experience in engineering and to meet female engineer role models. This visit also aimed to increase the girls interest in engineering and inspire them to take engineering up as a career.

Edelstein Hill is well known for some scenic shots, but on this day, it's the signals that draw the attention. Back when this shot was taken, there were plenty of oppurtunities to shoot these iconic Santa Fe symbols.

The sky is clear and the weather is so beautiful that I just have to go to Putrajaya and take some photos. I can't remember how many times I've been here, but since moment is there, don't miss the oppurtunity.

The second project of this semester was shadows and reflections. I think this is a great concept because it is very cool to see a reflection or shadow of something just like how us as people look at reflections and shadows of ourselves. I was sort of excited to start this project and see what I can create with the camera.
My photo for my shadow is of a plant in my backyard. On Sunday the 25th it was a very sunny day which was great for my advantage so I could find a shadow. I took some time to look in my backyard to see if there was anything that caught my eye with a shadow, and I found this succulent plant that had the perfect shadow. After taking a good amount of photos, I found the best photo of all and knew this was a great photo to use for this project.
My photo for my reflection is of a plant in my pool. As I said, it was a beautiful day out so it was the perfect oppurtunity to get the photo for my reflection. I have 3 plants aside my pool, that all had a reflection against my pool so I picked one of them to shoot and it only took me like two tries to get an amazing photo in my opinion.
I am very happy with the way my project turned out and I am glad we are getting cooler projects this semester because i am enjoying them a lot more.

hahaha, no really. don't ask what on earth i'm doing posting this!
ive decided that it's just one of my "not in the mood to take a picture" days, and since i have a whole year of self portraits, i'm allowed one or two of these.
i'm not even sure what i was doing! i was in the car and knew that i wouldn't have time to take a decent shot today, so this is the result. ha!
oh, and i talked to my mom today about the trip to spain, WITH MY TEACHER! i think he did a good job convincing her that it's a huge oppurtunity. but. i am going to have to basically beg every family member i have for money. the grand total of the trip to spain comes around to almost 4000 dollars!
that's too much. isn't it?
i mean, that's a lot of money.
i think i'm going to go cry now.....

When I have an oppurtunity (which I strive hard to get!), I spend days at a farm animal sanctuary. It has got to be the best place ever! I love all the gorgeous creatures there and they´re all my best friends. ♥
