Taken for the Macro Monday Theme "Opposites". Even if a real matematician might not agree...a circle and a line are opposites for me. HMM everyone!
Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is an orange day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Crazy Tuesday is opposites.
As we all know by now, the opposite of orange is blue ! And as a matter of fact I have two super tiny and very sharp pencils: one is orange and the other one is blue ! Isn’t that awesome ? Another well known fact is that true joy is finding happiness in little things… like old tiny pencils….

The extraordinary location of Plateau Hut which sits opposite Mt Cook in New Zealand.
I visited this location back in early September with fellow photographers Tim Poulton, Jay Daley, Tim Donnely and Damien Siedel.

Der "cube berlin" wurde im Februar 2020 eingeweiht. Es ist ein Bürogebäude auf dem Washingtonplatz und steht nah am Berliner Hauptbahnhof.
Eine Glasfassade mit Falten und Knicken spiegelt sie ihre Umgebung wie ein Kaleidoskop wieder.
Auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Spree befindet sich das Kanzleramt und der Reichstag der Sitz des Deutschen Bundestags.

The "cube berlin" was inaugurated in February 2020. It is an office building on Washingtonplatz and is located close to Berlin's main train station.
A glass façade with folds and bends reflects its surroundings like a kaleidoscope.
On the opposite side of the Spree River is the Chancellery and the Reichstag the seat of the German Bundestag.

Le "cube berlin" a été inauguré en février 2020. Il s'agit d'un immeuble de bureaux situé sur la Washingtonplatz, à proximité de la gare centrale de Berlin.
Une façade de verre avec des plis et des courbes reflète son environnement comme un kaléidoscope.
De l'autre côté de la Spree se trouve la Chancellerie et le Reichstag, le siège du Bundestag allemand.

It was quite a stormy day and the tugs had to struggle to push the empty bulker against the wind to its berth respectively to keep it away from the opposite side of the basin, as can be seen in the picture.
OK- so not your average macro - sort of an opposite in itself. A compass exemplifies opposites - North/South, West/East.

As the temperature outside has climbed closer to three digits, I started thinking about how I wish for ice or snow on days like these. The more I thought about it, I found I agree with Niels Bohr's statement.

Pyrostegia venusta, also commonly known as flamevine or orange trumpetvine, is a plant species of the genus Pyrostegia of the family Bignoniaceae originally endemic to Brazil, but now a well-known garden species.
