Actors acting out their roles during an opera show. Such performances usually start after 7pm when the folks living in the area are expected to have dined and are ready to be entertained. Opera shows (大戏)are staged frequently on temple grounds at 195E Bukit Merah View. The Lei Yin Temple (雷音寺) is situated just next to some HDB flats.

The Sydney Opera House is located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is one of the most distinctive and famous 20th century buildings, and one of the most famous performing arts venues in the world. Situated on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, with parkland to its south and close to the equally famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, the building and its surroundings form an iconic Australian image.
On 3rd June 2010 we took a Showboat in Sydney Harbour, Australia and I hoped to get some good pictures of the Sydney Opera House, but on the night there was torrential rain. I needn't have worried, because I think it looks even more spectacular!
I just want to go back again!

Chinese opera is one of the oldest dramatic art forms in the world. These traveling troupes are preserving an essential cornerstone of culture and heritage dating to the seventh-century Tang Dynasty (618 to 907). The performance mixes martial arts elements, singing, and dancing, accompanied by music played on traditional Chinese instruments.
Performances are free — shrines around the country pay the troupes. The best chance to catch a show is around major holidays and festivals like Chinese New Year and the vegetarian festival. © Dennis Thern
There has been a a lot of blogging and pictures from the new Opera in Oslo on several blogs and sites all over the world. Here comes another one. I am not sure if this is better than other pictures, but I felt it was kind of interesting.
