Hotel Opera in Prague is a family-owned four-star hotel built in 1890 in the neo-Renaissance style. Originally acquired by Karel Češka in 1918, it was nationalized during the communist era and fell into disrepair. After the fall of communism, the hotel was returned to the Češka family, who fully restored it between 1994 and 1997. Today, it offers modern comforts in a historic setting and remains managed by the founding family.

In 1904, the Kentucky General Assembly chose Frankfort (rather than Lexington or Louisville) as the location for the state capital and appropriated $1 million for the construction of a permanent state capitol building, to be located in southern Frankfort. The official ground-breaking was August 14, 1905 and construction was completed in 1909 at a cost of $1,180,434.80.[2] The building was dedicated on June 2, 1910.[4]

The capitol was designed by Frank Mills Andrews, a distinguished and award-winning architect. He used the Beaux-Arts style and included many classical French interior designs. The staircases, for example, are replicas of those of the Opéra Garnier in Paris.[5]

Sterling Opera House

Derby, CT

September 2016

The Sterling Opera House is located in Derby, CT on 104 Elizabeth St across from the town green. The building was constructed in 1889 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 8, 1968. It was intended to be a city hall at first but then ended up being a hot spot for performances and musical history.

The Sterling Opera House has been abandoned for almost 50 years, and is in need of restoration. Peeling paint, broken windows and rusted metal are merely a few of the problems that have worsened over the years and will need to be fixed

"Built an opera house for you in the deepest jungle

And I walked across its stage, singing with my eyes closed

I've got a love for you I just can't escape

All of my love for you cuts me like barbed wire

Ooh, I was meant to love you

And always keep you in my life

Ooh, I was meant to love you

I knew I loved you at first sight"

Sydney, AUSTRÀLIA 2023

The Sydney Opera House is a masterpiece of modern architecture and one of the world's most famous buildings, inaugurated in 1973. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, its distinctive "sail-like" or shell-shaped roof has made it a symbol of Australia. Located on Bennelong Point, it is surrounded by Sydney Harbour and offers spectacular views of the Harbour Bridge. The building houses multiple performance venues, hosting operas, ballets, concerts, and plays. The Opera House is a vibrant cultural center and a magnet for tourists from all over the world. In addition to its exterior beauty, the building's interior is equally impressive. In 2007, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognizing its importance as a 20th-century architectural achievement.

The street of El Arenal is a popular historical route of Madrid , linking the Puerta de Sol and the Plaza de Isabel II (Opera). Its name comes from the primitive stream that ran along its layout before the area was developed, with which it appears already labeled on the Teixeira plan of 1656, as well as in the successive cartographies of the Villa of Madrid.

Former Hotel Internacional, at 19 Calle del Arenal (street) in Madrid (Spain). It was projected in 1862 as a housing building by José María Mellado and Máximo de Robles. From 1907 to 1908 it was altered (including façade) by architect Mariano Belmás Estrada to become a hotel.
