A flashback to opening day theatrics when the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Diego Chargers then as they did today. Maybe the fan sporting the two fingers in the air knew they would be seeded 2nd in the playoff picture and the two wins needed to get to the Super Bowl ? Fingers crossed for some playoff magic!!

This is the flower of the Fragrant Water Lily as it is opening up. I took this picture at Rieve's Pond on the North Tract of the Patuxent Research Refuge near Fort Meade in Maryland.

Durant un tour en ski (pour changer) les nuages nous ont autoriser à enfin voir la face opposé. Merci
Opening soon, near a garden near me, or maybe just mine. The spring itch is in the air, the bulbs are up and the buds are beginning to unfold in the warmth of daylight. Opening soon, I can't wait.
More sunflowers - as they're just outside my bedroom door, I study them all the time, with either tea or camera in hand! We've just had a few days break away, so I should be editing those photographs and catching up with my Flickr pals, but instead of that, I've been out there with the sunflowers - but, hey, they won't be there long, will they!!
There was a variety of colours in these ones, some have orangy bits on them, some are a normal sunflower colour, others are a lovely pale lemon.
This one, just starting to open turned into one of the lovely pale lemon ones, just a relatively tiny flower down low on one of the branches.
