July 20, 2011, Albany - Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announces historic changes to the state's economic development grant application process, continuing the Governor's efforts to redesign the way state government works in order to drive economic growth and create jobs.
Under the new process, the ten Regional Councils will be able to apply for state funding to support projects they determine to be part of their regional strategy using a new Consolidated Funding Application (CFA), making the projects eligible for grant money and tax credits from dozens of existing programs. The combined pool of funding accessible through the CFA totals up to $1 billion.

Or are you simply another photographer?
There is an Antiques Store up in Waimea I’ve driven by often, and only recently stopped in to take a look within, though it seems to have been there for as long as I can remember. It is one of those re-purposed kind of places, once someone’s home, and newly celebrated in another way by a group of four friends who are themselves collectors more than successful sellers; it’s one of those places you suspect is more public storage than retail enterprise. From the street it looks very small, and it was, originally; it’s rooms can be accurately described as tiny, and you surmise the house was likely built by someone very short of resources who only included what was felt to be most necessary. But then you get to the back door of the kitchen, and find it opens up into a back porch where additional rooms were added in another L-shape of communal living opened to a sideyard. And now, as an antiques store, what these rooms contain is of an amazing abundance of old things.
I was very short of time the morning I stopped in, and raced through it vowing to return: these photos are from that first visit. When I did return however, it instantly became one of those experiences which simply could not rival my first-time impressions, and I did not snap a single shot, preferring to look back on these, and remember.

After surviving the many chapters of the Covid-19 virus, customers and proprietors seem prepared to adapt as conditions change with the virus. Defenses to the virus particles riding water droplets exhaled, coughed, or sneezed have changed from no vaccine, to therapeutic infusions of monoclonal antibodies, to multiple brands of vaccine and booster, now four surges of hospitalizations, and face mask requirements that ebb and flow according to transmission and positivity test rates.
This photo shows the "open" sign is shining, beckoning members of the public to stop by for bags of whole coffee beans and bags ground to order, or to enjoy a freshly made cup of tea or coffee at this local roaster of bean and fancy nuts, too.
