2012 SPOTC Carolina Challenge:
The Savannah River Site hosted the 2012 Security Protection Officer Team Competition (SPOTC). This year’s event is known as the 2012 Carolina Challenge and will be held April 23–26 at the Advanced Tactical Training Academy (ATTA) complex. The 2012 competition marks the 40th Anniversary for the event that rotates venues every year among various DOE sites. This tactical, physical and skills-oriented firearms competition is open to teams of security protection officers within the DOE complex, as well as outside Military and law enforcement agencies throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. SPOTC challenges each team’s shooting skills in handgun and rifle tactics.

With the new addition to the family comes some good and some bad after shooting it i pretty much knew i'd have to get it CLA'd but I may also need the curtains replaced but after shooting the camera i fell in love so guess I'll just have to remain patient and wait for it to be complete....camera is built like a brick but is a cool looking camera and the viewfinder is awesome...this was one of the few that wasnt effected by the cracks in the curtains...

The Hogesluis is one of my favorite bridges, it crosses the Amstel and it's sitting right next to the beautiful Amstel Hotel, one of the prettiest buildings in the best city in the world, it was re-opened just a few days ago after having been closed off for traffic for the last years for renovation works, now it's done, and it never looked better. The first time I biked across this bridge again last week, I was overcome with joy, and I couldn't wipe a smug smile off my face while riding on the smooth, new surface with my fellow Amsterdammers, it seems we were all happy to take this landmark back into our possession...and to celebrate this event, I took some shots of the people waiting for the bridge to open again after a big boat passed by :)
