47593 & 57311 (T&T) working 1Z32 into Appleby this morning for its pick up of passengers. 1Z32 operated by LSL/Saphos was a Leeds to Edinburgh charter which should have seen steam haulage from Carlisle with 60532
Due to the weather related steam ban the train will be worked forward by Peak 45118. 1Z32 arrived ontime 0832 and departed ontime 0836.
As i was waiting to capture the Anga Express which gets the regular link as WAP4 HWH.. The train came in almost ontime into the Loop at BYPL with a RPM WAP1 22068.. Big time troll...
FINALE SPECIAL:
On Sunday 5th October 2025, ÖBB operated there final loco-hauled intercity services between Graz-Linz-Graz prior to the trains switching over to IR designated operations with units from Monday 6th October 2025.
Here we see ÖBB locomotive 1144 070 with the last ever IC600 from Graz to Linz. The train departed from Graz at 16.56 and arrived into Linz at 20.05 (ontime).
According to ÖBB Scotty, IC602 two hours behind IC600 was being worked by a Cityjet unit. That means this image is the final ever recorded loco-hauled working from Graz to Linz under the then arrangements.
Sadly, end of an era and very sad to see the Linz to Graz route going over to units, which in my humble opinion is a backward step in service provision and comfort :-(
I was fortunate enough to have taken a ride behind this locomotive from Kirchdorf to Linz.
They think its all over, it is now :-(

Sorry this is late, I'm posting this for last week. however i was done ontime! Just way to tired to post lately. I had yearbook deadline and was up there from the time i woke up to the time i went to bed....literally. But this was the cover I did for the newspaper for our going green package.
last weekend I spent more hours up at school than I normally do in the school week. All of them in the Jroom. Because, well…yearbook deadline! I was there sunday night until 1:00am to send pages and went back a couple hours later for school. But i would never regret it. I wouldnt have missed a minute. Because of that feeling of relief and joy and excitement and sadness and happiness you get all at the same time when those final pages are sent. Because of those conversations you have with the people you spend all your time with. Because of those weird noises and laughs that start from everyone late at night. Because of those car rides to nowhere with your friends for a small break- where everyone is singing the weirdest songs and dancing the oddest sitting down dances and laughing so hard with brooke mon sarah and laura. For the moments that you do flips in the front lawn of the school and climb trees with sarah and sean. Because of those amazing songs that are made with bonbon using the 7 days of christmas but about tennis elbows. for coughs sassy moments. for seans dancing. for sgodkes ghetto times. for kates ‘im black’ times. for kristis walking in with all the chinese food times. for the singing in the backroom. because everyone knows I wont dance ever (even at like HC and WPA and such) but I sure as hell will do some weird dances in that room. For the closest and best friends you make while your there. Because all of your friends are also in the jroom that weekend, so where else would you go? for the times where everyone is hiding in the dark and maddie decides to relate it to ann frank. and when they all come out of the office and brooke mentions how it looks like a bunch of animals coming from hibernation as we wave them back in. As you walk outside the school at 1 in the morning and see a long line of cars in front of that room you spend more time in than at home, that room that you call home, and they all begin to zoom off after all the laughing cheering hugging and crying that happened after that final page was sent so many hours after it was supposed to because the index always screws everything up! I have more memories because and from that room than anything. I wouldnt change a thing. And now Im beginning to realize that that was the last yearbook ill ever do with some of those people. im realizing that i love just about every single person in that journalism program with all my heart and it kills me that i may not see some of them anymore after they graduate. im realizing that i only have one more yearbook to do. ever. one last yearbook to design. one last yearbook to take photos for. one more yearbook to create. one more yearbook to send final pages on. and then all of it will be over. forever. and now im sad and im scared and i wish there was more time with those who are leaving and i wish i had more time in general. because the only regret I have is that there is not more time. that i didnt become closer with some of these people, to ensure that we would keep in touch after. But i dont even think that is possible for most of these people. They have seen me at my weirdest, my happiest, my saddest, my most stressed, my best and my worst times and I theres. I have told some of them more things than i have ever told anyone. i really do love them and i love the time i have spent and devoted to journalism. and i wouldnt change it or take any of it back.
Waterfigure and splash. The falling droplet is detected by the laser and start the timing delays to drive the audiowaves to the speaker to form a waterfigure. The droplet fall just ontime on the waterfigure and give an extra splash.
Not a rest day as such as I'm actually due on duty at 23.30 so I was not up to much and 'er indoors was working so when me old Flickrite chum "Acton Wells Junction" happened to mention he was in Leeds and was planning to get the train out to Hebden Bridge I decided I'd get the trusty Mondeo out and head off over the Pennines to meet up.
Rendezvouing at Hebden Bridge at 08.50 saw a visit to the box there and then the short hop was made to Milner Royd Junction.
The aim of the exercise was to record two of the four boxes that are due to close this coming October but whilst on location it'd be rude not to step outside to record the passing of this beauty. Not a location you'd choose to capture the train in and the previous days glorious blue skys are a distant memory but still a lovely sight and as such I decided it was worthy of a post.
Running slightly late, 6E32 the "Preston Tanks" or more precisely the 08.55 Colas Ribble Rail to Lindsey Oil Refinery has been marginally signal checked as it approaches Milner Royd Junction. It has had to give way to 1B18 an ontime York to Preston service. With the peg coming off lots of effort went into getting the train back up to speed.
The train has run everyday this week it would appear with a pair of grids on the pointy end and short consists. This train of 9 tanks possibly being the biggest one of the week.
It's not all gloom and doom out there, this stretch of track in recent years has seen very little freight, indeed this service has probably been the only constant but it now has other freight flows to keep it company.
The Liverpool - Drax Bio Mass and Knowsley - Wilton bin liners are also added to by the Manchester - Roxby Gullet land fill and the very recently (and no doubt to be short lived) Redcar - Fidlers Ferry coal, I'm sure there are others.

Who'd have thought all those years ago when Ed Burkhardt's 66's were wiping out the incumbent traction that 20 years after they first landed on these shores that we'd still be seeing a pair of grids screaming at full tilt over the Pennines.
NR11 & AN2 work a ontime 6mp1 extra service through Midland. Very Rare to see a AN Class in Perth so a good surprise.
