Feeling rather quiet this foggy Monday morning as I look back through my images of Brigus South. A little day trip with some hiking and beachcombing in the typical Newfoundland Spring (blah) weather. :-) We always make the most of it though and came home with pockets of seaglass, shells, and rocks but this little discovery stayed put, hiding among the seaweed for the next person to find.

EASY WAY TO SEE ALL MY PHOTOS
Not only did we arrive Great Sand Dunes National Park a bit late and lost most of the golden light on the dunes, I believe we also came at the wrong time of day.
Judging by the dunes' orientation (facing east) and the trek marks left by the day activities (hiking, sandboarding, sand sledding), early morning hours would be a much better time for photography in here!
Nevertheless, I'm happy with the few images that I got, for they are much better than the ones I took from the first visit (early afternoon, Sep 2019)! 😉
I will share a funny encounter with you in my next Great Sand Dunes photo at a later time, so please make sure you follow my journey!

Some of the slum areas do not even have single rooms, they are thick and untidy clusters of small roofed walls – ceilings of which are made of scraps of wood, used sacks, metal, or some sort of waste material. You see 10 to 12 people live, eat and sleep under the same roof. The children often play in places where the drains are used as open toilets
This here is the only offical path at Porta da Piedade to get down to the water. There are a view very adventurous declines elsewhere along the cliff. For this time I wasn't brave enough to try one of them.
I found that place when I already was on my way back to the car. Because when I arrived in the dark, I didn't know where to go an decides spontaniously for the complete opposite direction. I was almost a little bit annoyed, that I didn't start here. Why, You will see tomorrow.
Dies ist der einzige offizielle Weg am Ponta da Piedade um nach unten ans Wasser zu kommen. Es gibt noch ein paar wenige sehr abenteuerliche Abstiege an anderen Stellen. An diese habe ich mich diesesmal jedoch nicht heran getraut.
Ich habe diese Stelle entdeckt, als ich schon auf dem Rückweg zum Auto war. Denn als ich hier im Dunkeln ankam wusste ich nicht, wo ich hin muss und so habe ich mich spontan für die komplett entgegengesetzte Richtung entschieden. Ich hab mich fast ein wenig geärgert, dass ich nicht hier begonnen habe. Warum, das seht Ihr morgen.

How many times in a lifetime do we find ourselves thinking " IF ONLY"
It maybe that you regret not trying harder at school and are in a job you really don't like.
It maybe words you wished you had said to a loved one who has passed away.
It maybe I wish I had a better camera, if only I could afford one.
There are so many senario's
On this occasion, my " IF ONLY" was a wish, for that sky to move around a little.
We had waited in the car for what seemed like an age, while the rain poured down, hailstones fell and the tide which should have receded, was still high.
I hoped eventually it would pass over and I would be able to capture something.
I'd not seen a sky like this for a long time, such depth and full of colour.
It was a little difficult trying to dodge the waves, eliminate the glass collectors, get a reasonable shot at the right speed, this was the best I could do " IF ONLY"
