This year, we are celebrating Nelson Mandela’s birthday by helping children in need with a stationery gift. 110 orphaned children from the Emfundisweni Primary School in Alexandra Township have been identified as children in need of stationery supplies. Along with stationery, GIBS will also be giving each child a teddy bear and keepsake box. Our Mandela Project this year will fulfill a great need in the learning environment as well as bringing smiles to disadvantaged children.

This was taken at a special show I MC'd at the Limelight Club in NYC, late '80s. A Hendrix aficionado named Carl Fiadino posted this excerpt from the Guitar World show on his YouTube channel, in which about 2/3 of the way in, Joe brings me out on stage and we blow through a couple of blues jams a la "Red House" by way of Sonny Boy Williamson II. …
Thank you, Carl! You are the best!

Left : Welcome to Hong Kong Right: The international arrivals hall at Beijing Capital International Airport, located northeast of Beijing's city centre. Known as "China Gateway", its annual passenger throughput increased from 1.03 million in 1978 to 73.95 million in 2010, ranking second place in the world (Source: www.en.bcia.com.cn). China plans to build a new mega-airport just outside Beijing by October 2017. Beijing Daxing International Airport will have nine runways and the space to transport 130 million passengers per year, 23 million more than London's Heathrow and New York's JFK combined.
