I was looking for a focus on the tree branches in front to catch the rain falling down, and the wind took the branches to magic...

"7 Days of Shooting" "Week #12" "One Word" "Black and White Wednesday"

more macro shots.. I do LOVE this lens (this picture is SOOC) but I found out something yesterday that I hadn't thought of before. Because this lens is an EF-S it won't work if I upgrade to a full frame camera which I plan on doing.. so for that reason alone I will retun this for the 100mm macro when it come in.. but until then I will play with this one!! It is gorgeous. I love the silky smooth bokeh!!

I see a clinic full of cynics

Who want to twist the peoples' wrist

They're watching every move we make

We're all included on their list

...

"Go nuclear" the cowboy told us

And who am I to disagree

'Cos when the madman flips the switch

The nuclear will go for me

...

I've seen the faces of starvation

But I just cannot see the point

'Cos there's so much food here today

That no one wants to take away

...

The lunatics have taken over the asylum

...

Take away my right to choose

Take away my point of view

Take away my dignity

Take away my family

Happy smile on saturday everyone!

But this is really how I feel. The world right now could use a lot more of this.

This is a water droplet refraction. The blur in the background is the image refracted in the drop of water.

This was shot using a Tokina AT-X 90mm f2.5 Macro, plus the Tokina AT-X 1:1 Extender and a Canon FD 25 U extension tube to get beyond 1:1 magnification.

Also, this is a 6 image stack to help get this tiny subject all into focus. Each image was shot at f11 and still even the slightest movement of the camera makes a huge difference.

The water droplet is maybe 2mm across and its holding onto the tip of a blade of grass.

This image took several hours to construct and bring together.

Each of the letters in the word were hand drawn and colored using my wife's very highly protected and pristine box of 96 Crayola crayons. She didn't want me to use them, but I told her I would be extra careful with each of them. She has had this box of crayons for decades. Our kids used up her original box of 64 and so she got a new box a long time ago.

I pulled out my china to shoot today at ten, when the light was coming soft through the curtains in my living room. I haven't unpacked it for two moves. Maybe it's a sign we'll stay a while...
