Active Assignment Weekly: Concentrate
What it took: Just basic editing. It was a sunny day and I put the items on a table and moved the table next to the balcony door.
Front of building has plaque dating 1908, but side shows some basement level newer construction, alongside remnants of what appears to be rubble from the ruins of San Francisco's great earthquake of 1906

Saw this yesterday as I was on my way back from picking up coffee beans at Trifecta Coffee.
When I noticed that the Smile on Saturday theme was "One Word" I had to go back this morning and catch a shot.
I wonder what in the world this sign is meaning?
I think it means "ONLY" in Albuquerque.
Happy Smile on Saturday!
I reread the brief for this week's theme and blanked out the street sign.
“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
― Albert Einstein
Not very smiley I know! But I thought I’d draw something that made a change from all the inspirational words. Ha Ha

Remember "Sylko" - thread measured in yards, on wooden reels? This is my oldest reel of thread, which I'll probably never use now, but kept because it reminds me of my mum & makes me smile.

Alaska's first Oneword logojet on its first visit to IAD. WX was poor plus runway 19C is closed which made getting a decent shot as it taxied in quite difficult. However, thanks to some mix-up it made an unexpected turn towards us in order to make a U-turn at a taxiway intersection.
