A big beautiful mosque in second largest city in Kosovo. Shot with Polaroid OneStep Land Camera and PX 70 Impossible Film (batch 12/11).

This is my original OneStep from childhood. If only I had film....

on a bizarre note - I lost part of a cracked tooth today. A back molar. Damn salt water taffy. My dentist isn't as freaked out about it as I am. Should I find that comforting?

I should have called to get that crown taken care of earlier. Now that may not be an option...(insert ominous music here)...

I captured another smile with a lot of roses.

I can't believe that it was sooooooo windy and rainy when I was taking these photos. This moment was a little break in that weather.

He(might be She) was sleeping very sound in the baby buggy when I was taking some photos at a park. As you imagine, I can't help asking his foreign parents whether or not I can take photos of him, so I did ask them and they said, "off course, no problem". Actually, I took two photos - one is for me and the other is for his parents - , and after I took the photos, we started talking with them about photography. Today was nicely sunny and it was a great day for the new conversation with people !!! That's why I can't quit taking photos, you know.

I know you're not suppose to take photos while driving, but I couldn't resist this late afternoon shot of a typical So Cal bungalow, caught while on my way to Thanksgiving dinner in South L.A. Not to worry -- we were stopped at a traffic light.

Taken with a cheap Polaroid OneStep 600. I really like the toy cam distortion thing this photo has going for it.

SX-70 onestep modified for 600 with magnifying glass taped to the lens. 3-1/2" focal distance with a 1' total focal length.

Indoors, with flash, directly into empty film box. Close up "lens" on. Lighten/darken "wheel" slightly to "darken".

A little polaroid love for FILM26 and the letter F.

"inherited" (if you will) from a neighbour across the street (same one who had the fire a few weeks ago). i probably won't be using them much (i prefer my sx-70, of course!).

left: sun 660; right: onestep closeup. both cameras still work.

(a few other non-polaroid cameras were recovered. pics eventually.)

this was home. I'm at the university of guelph now and it's also nice.

Gopher tortoises rarely drink (or are rarely seen drinking) from standing water. They can use their front flipper like legs to dam-up water as it runs down their burrow during a rain. Most of the water they get comes from the food they eat. During periods of extreme drought they have been seen drinking standing water on the side of the road.

In Florida gopher tortoises are on the Endangered Species List, categorized as a Threatened Species. This means that their current numbers are dropping but we are not sure exactly how much, several studies presently being conducted on the tortoises are tiring to more accurately answer this question. Their primary reason for being endangered is a loss of habitat. In the past many tortoises were killed either for food, or by people who were trying to kill the rattlesnakes that often share their burrows.
