Two projects meet. One Object Project 19/100
In our attempt to copy one of *M-C1*'s most copied photos
This was not easy. My p/s camera had a hard time deciding what to focus on ... Seemed it liked nekkid Barbie a lot! Finally we got one we could work with. I love how her earring glows. It is SOOC tho, around shot # 376.
Anyway I think *M-C1* is very talented, artistic, pretty, sweet, and dedicated (yall she is on her 3rd 365!) Applause applause!
I HAVE TO go see what shes posted every day and live vicariously through her.

Ok so I thought Id take Barbie to the hometown Christmas Parade for my 100 possibilities project. Yeah maybe Id get a good shot of her attending or waving or something. Devon was riding in the parade and when his FFA float came by I thought way cool get her with Devons float. Noooo! Not a good idea! Barbie came out great but every pic I got of Devon was blurry CRAP! Oh he was done with me!
Earlier in the day when I dropped him off to decorate their float I hung around the school campus taking pics of this and that. So later Devon told me his friends were like "Dude, Your mom is totally watching you, spying on you" Devon said he told them "naw, shes just taking pictures". Of course they didnt believe him. (luckily I left)
Sooo later he said he was mortified that I had the Barbie out when his float came by! Said he totally denied me when his friends asked "Hey is that your mom with a Barbie?" He said he "DIDNT KNOW THAT LADY!" Hell I didnt think anything of it. I am who I am. I dont put on airs for anyone. If you dont like me screw you is my thinking, But now I kinda feel bad. I hope one day he can see the humor in all of this. I dont think hes really really mad or upset (I hope). I suppose I have to tone down my wild side, I forget people are watching sometimes. Anyway thanks for listening my friends.
The "Gift 1A Kodak" camera was a specially made variation of the No. 1A Pocket Kodak Jr., for the 1930 Christmas season. Designed by famous industrial designer Walter Dorwin Teague (1883 -1960), it was covered in brown leather and had Art Deco motifs on the shutter plate and the enamel base plate. Gift cameras were produced in a limited run of 10,000 at a price of $15 each. Kodak promoted the cameras as "distinguished, dainty, and feminine, for "elite," "super-chic" young women, and promoted them at renowned women's colleges across the country. Kodak's efforts to make cameras affordable for average Americans would help the company survive the difficult years ahead in the Great Depression. Manufacturers: Ingraham Company; Eastman Kodak Co.
I so want to get out and take shots of my girls outside like my flickr doll pals do but obviously they don't have fire ants to contend with. They are angry non-helpers especially after a little rain. Grrrrr.
My one object will be Barbie because well, shes pretty, her makeup is always done, she has a bunch of outfits and fabulous shoes, she can be as wild or demure as I want her to be, shes pose able, and shes easily transportable.
This was a test I did with loaner Barbie from my niece because I didnt want to mess up my One Object Project Barbie's hair. I loved how this almost looks like its a race with the car beside us ( I am certain he thinks I'm nuts, honestly I was laughing so hard I didnt see his reaction). I did try this shot with my regular Barbie but didnt get any shots that I liked as well as this one. So I suppose I am not completely above cheating a little on this project. Hey it's still A Barbie.
I swear Im gonna take pics of other stuff I'm just not feelin it right now. Hugs.
... well not so lonely as I had a busy old day but managed a round of golf this afternoon in the cold, cold wind and rain!!

When Barbie was looking through some of my flickr contacts she said she was really flattered that Shannon did such a wonderful imitation of herself she was adamant that I help her do an equally flattering imitation of Lutman 123
Well its not exact but our version.
Go see her stuff she is amazing.
Shannon we love your artistry. Nuff said.

Charlie Brown has stopped to discuss his forthcoming holiday with a new pal, Mr Icicle. Poor Charlie is rather worried that Father Christmas won't know where he is on Christmas Eve as he didn't give him any holiday info in his "Dear Father Christmas I would like..." letter, and therefore he will forget to leave him any presents. If only Charlie had looked up, just at that moment, he could have told the man himself exactly where he would be on that very special night!

Some people on Flickr have such talent and a wonderful courage to their photos. Shelly M. Is one of those photographers that inspires me. This was an attempt at "She Talks to Angels" www.flickr.com/photos/malagash/6251761025/
I was so enamored with trying to get the butterfly in the reflection I forgot to attach the one I bought for Barbies back. So I decided to go with it anyway cause it is what it is.
I hope Barbie and I did you justice. I love your work so much.
I had never been there before. I mustve driven past it a thousand times and never knew it was there. The actual mansion is locked up tight, man, you cant even see in the gate. The public gardens are very pretty even now that most of the blooms are gone. We must come back in the spring.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo, make a comment or Fave it.
OK so this started because I found some stuffed animals with the most awesome parachutes at Walmart. I bought the bear and took off the parachute to put on Barbie. It was too big so Larry sewed it on her. We took her outside, Larry throwing her and me at the ready to shoot. OMG Do y'all know how few seconds it takes a Barbie to fall to the ground? Me either but apparently it aint enough! OH NO There is NO zooming in and focusing on this one people! You get what ya get! I know my cam can take 3 shots in a row but I'll be darned if I could find it that day.
Anyway the best part of the story is Devon came home from school as we were doing this so I asked him to throw a few times (100 or so it felt like) Y'all I had to promise not to take a pic of him holding the Barbie! He tripped out when a car passed hoping they wouldnt see him. Haha We had a blast
