Paul Munene produces rooted apical cuttings from his net tunnel and sells to farmers in his village and beyond to multiply further and produce seed potato. His business is not only bridging the the seed potato gap but many farmers are seeing an improvement in their lives thanks to the easy access to the high yielding and clean starter material for seed.

On 23rd of March we inaugurated the new Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT & CGIAR offices in Kampala, Uganda. We welcomed our partners and shared #OneCGIAR Initiative plans for Market Intelligence, Accelerated breeding, 'Seed equal,' Animal productivity, Plant health & Rethinking food markets.

This event represented a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to collaborate with researchers, development partners, and governmental bodies to address the country's needs.

We're grateful to MAAIF Uganda, National Agricultural Research Organisation - NARO Uganda and Government of Uganda for their support.
