Our trip to Venice has been cancelled twice I can only imagine how difficult things have been for those who live there. Still hoping to return again one of these days!
It is worth taking an extra minute to view in Large!

Just spending time this evening in a winter wonderland... enjoying some Quincy!
Irby is an unincorporated community in southern Lincoln County, Washington, United States, west of Odessa, north of State Route 28 on Irby Road. The BNSF Railway runs through the town. It was founded as a ranch in 1878 by John Irby.
This is a skeleton of a once bustling hotel. The doors and windows are gone, clapboard siding is warping away from the outside walls, and the roof has gaping holes. Irby, which was settled in 1904, was a local railroad stop on the Great Northern railroad line at one time. Now the freight trains of the Burlington Northern just whistle past.

Once I'd found Lisa, I was able to spend a bit of time enjoying other sights in the Louvre.
Like the walls...
By the way, apparently every centimetre over average height is worth £190 each year. I am 1.90m tall. I like this article :-)

My picture and featuring by Claudius II.
A year ago, I was taking this photo in the Apennines in the upper Trebbia Valley. You can see conglomerates of the Earth's mantle, in fact a remote magma, with next to it a bush of Ferns, a real remote plant relict that has survived till our days. All this had fascinated me to the point of sharing privately, this photo with Claudius. He also loves images that intrigue and move the thought. Since we have known each other, I have always recognized his gift as a visionary. When he returned the photo to me, with his personal “imaginary vision” of that moment, I was amazed and admired. I propose today that photo revisited by him, because it's a concentrate of landscape reality with traces that come from a remote past and where his visionary intuition, combines present and past in a coherent and reliable way, like a beautiful 1:1 scale Diorama.
I hope you like it.
Have a nice Sunday !
Buona domenica !

Tame chickadee, but no posing, and they are quick!…
But once we put seeds on the fence posts, they went there instead…
Once upon a winter's day, I drove slowly down snow-covered country roads, scanning trees and fields. And then, there she was; giving me this look as if to say, "What took you so long?:

Once a thriving area filled with sidewalk stalls and fruit and vegetable stores, Kensington Market now has only a single fruit and vegetable establishment remaining.

Once you learn to read, you will be forever free. -- Frederick Douglass

For once, this photo is not candid. I asked her to pose for my first street portrait. I was a little nervous, I was a little afraid to miss the shot...
The photographer is already clumsy, but the model by her presence, her positive energy, her amused and questioning side saves the image with the benevolence that she showed around her...
Tell me what you think about street photography. Does the posed photo also show an emotion, a story?

've been back home this weekend and I still love it here.. Home is where I can be myself and - as my mom says - I can be a child again.
Sometimes I become homesick when I'm home already.
Oh and I bought the mask like.. ages ago! Now I think: I MUST use it more often for my photos so.. wait & see
Have a nice sunday everyone!
OMG thanks EVERYONE for your nice comments and favs, I never expected to get that much attention for one of my photographs..
you made my day <3
In Alberta these past few November days.. minus the color and bugs, although, I did swallow a bug while biking and see a few lazy bees hanging around. I've been out kayaking again and it sure is cool hitting and breaking up the ice ; what a sound it makes. Of course I scare all the wildlife while doing that so I leave the cam at home. Since it is my Mom's birthday and she loved fishing with Dad I'm posting this one from another favorite stomping ground of mine. Taken with the 40D and my banged up 300mm which surprises me :) Happy Saturday!

Another large Italian 6 day tour. Eventful to say the least.
This place must have suffered an earthquake recently. There was a nearly new Fiat in the courtyard flattened with brickwork and many rooms falling down and evidence of huge cracks in the outer walls. Was unique and frightening at the same time.
