A peace offering to all my Flickr Followers for not having been very active lately. Still having focusing issue with my eye and Surgeon says it will be a few more months for results to be fully known.
I also know that this is not a Peace Dove. I want to say that it is a Young Red-tailed Hawk however this is the first time I have been this close to one so I could be wrong.

an hour after first posting: I have decided to change the title and idea a bit from what I was first going for. At first, I called it "in HIS hands" but I couldn't get past the fact that, technically, in this picture, I was actually sitting in my OWN hand.. and so that just didn't work together. so now, it's more of a self-offering......
letting go of my plans and priorities and own formed ideas, even though i like to think i'm right about everything and know the best.... it's been proven to me that i DON'T! ....
God, here i am. take me and my life.

The offers to gods and goddesses of Hindu beliefs, are often seen in the pretty petals, or the silvery or gold back coins that lay in their arms and laps. A divine wish and prayer in waiting.
The Kumbh Mela (or Kumbha Mela) is a Hindu religious festival that is celebrated four times every 12 years in special locations in India.
The 2010 Kumbh Mela was on the Ganges in Haridwar, and the pilgrims came from all over, carrying kumbhs (water pots) or other containers to carry water from the sacred rivers home with them.
At the ghats on the river people prepare ritual offerings with which to worship the Mother Ganges.
