At the mandala event, there were tables of offerings set up for the event Medicine Buddha Puja ceremony that would be presented when the mandala was completed. On the offering table are bowls of water with saffron, flowers, candles and incense sticks.
I accept. Summer stuff went to mini-storage (aka: nyc's answer to lack of ample closet space) today.

With New Zealand's restrictive axle weight limits and dimensional requirements, the 8-wheeled tractor unit has proliferated in recent years. Unlike some other offerings in the marketplace the Mercedes-Benz Actros doesn't look like a hastily conceived adaption whereby another steering axle has been bunged underneath !!
L.W.Bonney & Sons have a very mixed fleet, the majority of which are adorned with their attractive, traditional and well-executed livery. The treatment of the front grille on the Actros is most pleasing IMHO. All in all a most attractive modern lorry!
Im not so enamoured with the Actros's replacement, but it may yet grow on me.......but NEVER in plain white!
One month and one day since Paul passed through the gates, he had made his home in the new lands, Mystical, transcendental and Utopic surrounded by fair maidens all willing to appease this mysterious wanderer from lands afar. As the new chief of the tribe of buxom beauties Paul decided to celebrate his month long stay by allowing his subjects to bring him offerings.
Disappointed by the lack of pork scratchings and "Pints of Mild" Paul threw a wobbly and left, trudging back through the gates, his phone suddenly vibrated, 15 voicemail messages, all from his wife.
"Paul, we need more kitchen roll, I ran out of it mopping up the cat sick"
"Paul where are you , the house smells of vomit"
he hung up after listening to a few more, before sighing as he looked out upon the desolate landscape in front of him, He knew the journey home would be long but it wouldn't be as bad as a month with out pork scratchings.

For Hindus, its the time for ancestor worship and fulfilling
their obligatory duties towards their ancestors ...which is called "TARPANA"... Tarpana is an act of remembrance, which solidifies the link between the generations. I dont know how I shall explain the meaning of Tarpana..The traditional ritual of Tarpana is complex, but its essence is simple.
The offerings(TARPANA) are said to reach all the dead relatives of the person who performs the rites.Tarpana is especially important for ancestors you knew personally.
If you loved them, you show them your love in the only way
remaining to you, by remembering them and offering part of yourself
to them as a token of your love.hope I can explain!!!!!!..

Ο ειλικρινής αίνος ελευθερώνει το πνεύμα μας. Δώστε όλη την δόξα στον Θεό.
Δοξάζοντας τον Θεό με όλη μας την καρδία μας φέρνει χαρά, η χάρη του Θεού σίγουρα δίνεται σ’ εμάς.

Here Oliver takes part in a New Age healing ritual. He has grown quite befuddled over the past year or so, and has inexplicably lost a lot of weight despite eating more than ever. The vet can find nothing wrong, except for his seniority. He was already grey at the muzzle when we rescued him from the shelter eight years ago, so I guess this is to be expected.
The gift of offering is a two way street. From the desire of receiving something, we give in order to get.. These coins symbolise a wish, a dream, a passion, a love, a need..
