I dropped my lock at the gym today. I didn't think about the fact that maybe I should have made sure it was still wroking before I put it on my locker. Had a great workout. Then, couldn't unlock the lock. Oops. The lock cutters at the gym couldn't cut through the lock. We got the biggest guy in the gym to come to the women's locker room to give it a try. Still couldn't cut through, but at least he was able to somehow work it so it came open. Time for a new lock.

The Girl and I went to the park today. It wasn't sunny, but it was in the 50s, and that was a beautiful thing. As soon as we got there, she started climbing trees and yelling, "Mom! Look at me! Mom! Watch this!" And then, she did her impression of a tree sloth.

Our old fridge had a small opening for the filtered water in the door, making it awkward to hold the Keurig reservoir while filling it, so we'd fill a pitcher (with a handle), then carry that over to the Keurig and pour the water in. It wasn't until yesterday (a few weeks into owning our new fridge), that I realized I could set the whole reservoir on the pull-out platform underneath the filtered water spout. I couldn't remember if I'd taken a photo yet for the day. When I went to check my phone to see if I had any, I was surprised by an email from Katrina that she'd opened up the CY365 chat room for a bit. I poured myself a glass of wine and sat down to chat photog stuff with the girls (and one guy). Such a nice treat for a Friday night.

The top image is from the CT taken along with the PET Scan (bottom image). It's a top-down view of my lungs The red hands are pointing to the actual lymphoma that has moved out of my lymph nodes in my lungs. In the CT, it looks like a grey mass. In the PET, it's glowing. I love that I can get the images from my scans on disc. #cy365 #OffPrompt

I've been blessed (a word I almost NEVER use) to be part of an amazing online community of photographers over at captureyour365.com. Through that community, I met my friend Diane, who just adopted a little girl from China (her second time around this block). Many months ago, I was incredibly touched and honored when she asked me to meet them at the airport to photograph Anna’s homecoming. Today was that day! Pictured here are Diane, husband Randy, her oldest daughter Lizz, and new daughter, Anna. Absent is her second daughter, Kate, who is currently away at university.
This may not be my finest technical work, but gosh darned, if looking at this picture doesn’t put a perma-grin on my face! This little girl grabs your heart and does not let go! Many more photos and a blog post are yet to come. Stay tuned!
BTW, if you’re wondering how I got such great smiles… simple: I just wiggled my butt and made a fool of myself. Ha ha!

The Girl's two top middle teeth have been wiggly for months. And, for the past week, the top right one had been hanging on by a thread, but she wouldn't force it out. Today, it FINALLY fell out. Normally, parents do not get to see what goes on behind the closed door of the ballet studio. But this is parent watch week, where we finally get to observe what our girls are doing in class. Today, to make up for all the stuff that got cancelled and postponed for The Girl's birthday back in January, when I was sick, I pulled her out of school (along with a couple of friends and their moms), and we went downtown for a belated birthday lunch and shopping spree at American Girl. I'm so proud of Hubs. Not only did he earn his Executive MBA in two years (half the time it takes most students), but he did so while juggling family and a full time job. On top of that, he earned his school's highest honor and was named a Hotchkiss Scholar (he had a bum ribbon on his medal, or he'd be wearing it here). Congrats, honey!
Bonus: I got a selfie in his lenses. :)
