Another view of the pools and Pacific Ocean. Water in the ocean was calm and there wasn't much wind until around noon. It was perfect for getting kayaks and taking short expeditions along the shore.

After Mike and I checked into the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91, we waited inside the terminal until passengers were allowed to board the Celebrity Solstice at 11am. We were greeted with a glass of mimosa upon boarding the ship; and since the rooms wouldn't be ready until 1:30pm, the crew advised us to head to the Oceanview Cafe for lunch. We arrived before it got crowded, so we were able to nab a window table and enjoy a leisurely meal. I snapped a few photos of the food stations while checking out the offerings; here, you can see the pasta station. Guests choose their pasta and veggies from the right side of the station and one of the sauces from the left side, then the attendant cooks them together on the stovetop.
