The Oceanview Project is a 16-mile, 230-kilovolt (kV) transmission line built along existing right-of-way with steel pole construction to connect JCP&L substations in Howell and Neptune. In addition, an existing 230-kV transmission line connecting substations in Colts Neck and Neptune was rebuilt using steel poles. Overall, the project involved installing 11 five-ton circuit breakers and remote-control communications equipment at the substations.

This is the Oceanview Motel on Ocean Ave in Wildwood Crest NJ. This is where we stayed in 2002, and I took this shot as I headed out to record all the neon signs in the nearby area. Little did I know then that the next time I would return 7 years later that most of them would be gone. It was from this location, south, that most of the motel demolishing took place. This motel was also slated to be demolished, but the town refused the building request.

One of the great things about older Caribbean resorts is that they tend to have more oceanview rooms than the newer ones. The Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay, which opened in 1970, has 322 rooms and suites with full or partial ocean views - that's more than 60% of the the property's entire room inventory!
Oceanview is one of eight public middle schools of the Guam Department of Education (as of 2010). It was constructed in 1959 as HÃ¥gat/Agat Junior High School. Later the school was modified into Oceanview High School but has since reverted to a middle school.
