P-Sharan cardboard pinhole camera with Kodak Ultramax 400 film. There is no such thing as small pieces of wood being washed up on the beach at Riis Park, Rockaway, NY. It is giant-size or nothing.

since new Flickr layout has come... I can't use it so often and long like I used to to give you all comments and faves,
or to see my all contacts new images,
I'm sorry,
but my eyes start to hurt after 15 minutes of justified view or even get tiny headache,
and slowness of loading makes me irritated,
and viewing too much photos on black is not good for eyes either.
I like watching photos and taking them, have dozens of them to post, but right now I'm tired...
I'm really sorry.

Life's pathways are filled with obstacles that must be overcome.
This photo was taken by a Hasselblad 500C film camera and Carl Zeiss Distagon 1:4 f=50mm T* lens with a Hoya Infrared R72 ø67 filter using Rollei Retro 400S film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way. Something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.

One thing about the place I went to shoot Eagles, there were plenty of tree branches to intrude into my photos.....

We like to complain about the obstacles in our life but ironically, we value the beauty of their diversity when they are not in our way. www.pietschy.de/obstacles/

a hiking path
Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park , California
To those who are concerned, this is the shot after I came across the bridge as Michael suggested. Although I like `Bobesh's idea of removing the bridge using the log to pass, if 1blessedmom is there to take the photo. Not sure what the grumpy old stroll who lives under the bridge will think if the bridge is removed.

"By prevailing over all obstacles and distractions, one may unfailingly arrive at his chosen goal or destination."
Christopher Columbus
74/366: Obstacles
A waterfall at Stone Creek Park in Flower Mound travels its way though many obstacles, including large boulders, to make its way downstream and eventually into the lake.
Just like in life we maneuver our way around obstacles and head towards our goals. We may fall, like a waterfall, but we always have to keep flowing, keep pursuing and keep dreaming. Life is ever changing like the water in a creek, some days we are high and some days we are low – but the force of life must keep us going down the path of happiness.

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock.
Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been.
The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.
The peasant learned what many of us never understand. Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.
