You see, this is the most advanced and technical digital camera I have ever had. It is pretty far beyond my technical ability, but I am learning bits and pieces each day.

I put this in both my Nikon Coolpix L820 album and my Pentax K-S2 album, because though the subject is the Pentax, the camera I used to take the picture of the Pentax was my Nikon.

The thin white border is not really a frame. It is in defense of Flickr's all dark background.

This has several photo techniques on it. The first, a rainting, is right out of my camera, but through a window with rain on it. That is not really a post processing technique but merely choosing a way to shoot the picture. I coined the word "Rainting." Then the foggy sky was dreadfully dull; so I used an equalizing technique. That made the sky more interesting, but just about washed out *Scrawny* the little tree I named and then named the hill after. So I did some pen technique on the tree in black, but I don't have the steadiest hand in the world; so it was kind of too wide with the lines and too jumpy from point to point.. I used a light marker technique to soften the lines I drew for the tree, but leave them still evident. I embossed the whole photo,

I think they are glorious. Autumn is my favorite season. My birthday is in autumn might be one reason why.

I saw this on a sign a few days ago. I liked it:

Our dog has this weird obsession about chasing light, like cats usually do. The husband says she's just, uh... retarded. ;p I can have hours of fun with a laser pointer or flashlight in the dark- it's hilarious to see. Around 2 pm everyday, she begs to go outside, because if I move the door back and forth, it makes the sun spot on the lawn, and she goes totally berserk chasing it. She'll wait out there all day for it until the sun sets, which is when I snapped this pic... not a great composition here, but you can see the look of total anticipation on her face. ;p Um, yeah.. what he said...

At least I think it is a blackberry vine. It looks a lot healthier than the fence.

I also gave it an equalized and an embossed technique, in addition to rotating my image, touching it up and giving it an "expressive" effect.

Quail Lake State Park - Hurricane, Utah

As a photographer I sometimes get obsessive about trying to photograph a scene under the right light. As most photographer's can testify light can make all the difference in a photograph.

Previously, I photographed this particular scene back in October 2014. The light was somewhat dramatic but I wasn't quite satisfied with the light and mood of the previous image.

As I arrived at the lake on this particular morning. I was treated to a beautiful sunrise. The clouds kind of fizzled out on the right side of the photograph but the composition still feels balanced. It's very rare that everything lines up just perfectly but I feel happy with the final outcome.

Artsy

HUMOR: I had to laugh at my own typo. When I first typed my title, it said, "Sunset & Clouds Slide Down Hill Like a Lava Flow through Snot" True mistake!

The obsessive wish.

spotted this salvation chap expressive behavior openly in the public along melbourne busy street

This is Bogey, with his as obsessively compulsive tennis ball chasing partner in crime Barkley. Bogey died today, in his doggie bed surrounded by his tennis balls. He was fourteen(!!), and adopted, so maybe older even.

He was an ex-girlfriend's pet, so for me, he was just a temporary pet-by-proxy. That's one of those things you don't hear that much about, but it must happen all the time. Get close to someone, get close to their dog. Then when you break up, you kind of break up with the dog, too. I wonder if people stay in relationships longer sometimes, just because they love the dog?

Anyway. He was a good dog, and I miss him all over again. If you've never spent any time around a dachsund, they just kick all sorts of ass. Go to your local animal shelter (right now! go!) and if there's one sitting there, grab him up. You won't regret it.

I stopped by the docks tonight and chucked a tennis-ball out into the ocean as far as I could. I know wherever Bogey is right now, he won't be able to resist (and in non-corporeal form, won't have to swim).

And if he could, he'd make me throw it ten thousand times more.

Best viewed at least a little bit large to enjoy the watercolor effect that I *slid* onto my regular photo.

I put the general idea of location on Flickr's map, but their maps are oftentimes screwball; so it is not precise.

I'm going to use the Notes function which Flickr has recently restored (thanks) to mark the east and west side of the bridge.

Then you get to look at my photo and guess which way the breeze was blowing.

Something can be very beautiful and also sort of spooky at the same time.

I gave this a touch of sharp technique and my copyright/initials in a photo program, and other than that it is SOOC.

This is very close to SOOC. I just used a small amount of bright and contrast on it and cropped off a tiny bit from bottom and right side where I think my truck passenger side mirror had gotten in the way. Otherwise, this was all through my windshield with rain in a total downpour.

For the Exhibited or Sold Works: GIVE DETAILS or YOU'RE OUT (pool)" Fog and Rain (curated)(pool) used this for their Banner on March 21, 2018.

This is a real tree in flamboyant autumn color, but I did some artsy techniques on it. It was near Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon USA.

Please let it load for 1 or 2 seconds more than you normally do for most images. Often, it will get more clear.

I'm placing this color version of this tree in my Comparison & Resemblance (album) with the same tree but in black & white posted about two back from here.

They had been discussing building a nest, but it was, after all, still winter. They didn't have any little Robin calendars or smart phones to guide them; so they just perched on the fence, with some trepidation, to watch and wait for the coming snow.

I still don't know if this home never finished being constructed, or if it did, but then got ruined by building codes, fire, storm, financial disaster or what?

I think for the "flickr **Soul of a Photograph** (pool)" that the soul is the mystery behind this rather large home? lodge? and what circumstances made it to what is pictured.

(DSCN2726FailedSomewherealongthelineQflickr042218)

Well, maybe not exactly...

Although it is a real full moon and those are real power lines. BTW, it was a handheld shot and this is not a composite; the power lines and moon were shot at the same time.

On Monday, September 4, 2016 I heavily *slid* this exact image for Sliders Sunday group pool. If you're interested, please see approximately 9 comments down in the comment section for the comparison, and I also put both images in my Comparison & Resemblance (album).

We had a record cold snap here, at least in my part of the Willamette Valley of Western Oregon, USA. For those whose were physically hurt, or whose vehicles or homes or businesses were harmed by falling trees, downed power lines, etc., my sincere empathy goes out. Thankfully, they were the very few in comparison. For the majority of us, the trees were full of ice and icicles and were like a winter fairyland. It was a sight to behold. They just sparkled!

This is a Filbert orchard. They are also called Hazelnuts. They are the State Nut of Oregon. All this time I thought I was!

Based on her obsessive hunting for toads, I have decided that Petunia must really be a rare Pembroke Welsh Toadhound. This little dog can't wait to go out at night and snorf around for toads. She has only caught one once, with predictable foaming mouth results. She never stops looking.

(IMG_20181031_135742AutumnWoods&Pondinitflickr110118)

The map location I posted is most likely not the exact place, but this is a wall on a building in downtown Springfield, and right on Main St. somewhere.
