An absolutely freezing cold day at Kirkjufell on the Snaefellsness Peninsula in Iceland.
The waterfalls here at Kirjufellfoss had been reduced to just one stream with the majority of them totally frozen, giving a really different take on the scene from what I had shot here before, this was shot around sunset with a large number of storms rolling past, one of which can be seen drifting past to the left.
I don't usually include people in my shots but couldn't resist this one as the lone person was not only ideal for scale, I like how they are pointing towards the mountain taking a photo.

Covered in snow the pine trees clinging to their icy ground, looking longingly to the warm light of the rising sun. But it will not reach them on that day.
Tief verschneit krallen sich die Kiefern an ihren eisigen Grund und blicken sehnsüchtig dem warmen Licht der aufgehenden Sonne entgegen. Doch dieses wird sie an diesem Tag nicht erreichen.

"The creative act is not performed by the artist alone; the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualification and thus adds his contribution to the creative act. (...) The artist may shout from all the rooftops that he is a genius: he will have to wait for the verdict of the spectator in order that his declarations take a social value and that, finally, posterity includes him in the primers of Artist History." Marcel Duchamp, (edit from The creative act)
Di tutto quanto il mondo
restano soltanto pelle ed ossa
e due troppo grandi e vigili.
Hanno assorbito tutto quanto è passato,
ma non sono certi di osservare
tutto quello che ancora manca al domani.
Me, Siggi (the model) and Haukur Jó went shooting Aurora like any serious photographer in Iceland did last Saturday. The combination of clear skies, snowy foreground and highly active Aurora is a rare thing in Iceland but it makes a great shot.
Taken on Mosfellsheiði, between Reykjavík and Þingvellir.

In this selection of photographs from my recent visit to Melbourne, the focus is on the rail network that provides the 5.2 million residents of Greater Melbourne with the best transport system in Australia.
As you'll see with these three photographs today, I have played around with the colour palette to create a mood and emphasize key elements in the pictures.

En ondertussen houdt The Observer alle veranderingen in de stad nauwlettend in de gaten.
Een van mijn lievelingsbeelden van het Sokkelplan.
Given the limited street photography opportunities during lockdown, I've returned to experimenting with composites as a creative outlet.

I created an album with some of my colorful photos ( I dont upload them all ). Sometimes I like colored ones more, but black and white is more comfortable for me, so thats the reason why I didnt upload all of them. There is still some a magical moment for me, but bw is my creative foundation.
