If you wish to see the valleys,
climb to the top of the mountain.
If you want to see the top of the mountain, rise above the cloud.
But if you try to understand the cloud,
close your eyes and think.

Today I want to show another "observer". This wolf here was half hidden behind a tree and didn't move as he observed his area.. It looks pretty impressive and alert..but calm too.
Simply observing something alters the state of what is observed. JPEG processed in Fujifilm's raw converter and other editing programmes.

Happy Monochrome Monday!
Thanks to Andy Farmer for identifying this as the work of Mihály Kolodko. It shows up on his website with contextual background that confirms this is it. He calls it Fokukac, which in Ukrainian is фокукац, or "Focus", if Google Translate is a good guide, and dates it 2016.
I already finished shooting in the forest and went out ... Suddenly I noticed an unusual stump covered with moss. On it were very beautiful breezes and oxalis. I decided to take a few macro shots from my hands using the technique of holding the breath ... But whose presence was felt, despite the fact that I did not see the observer .., Taking pictures a tool (camera), not a photographer.
The choice of tool limits the possibilities.
Experience allows him (instrument) less and less to limit their capabilities.
The ability to see is given only when the observer allows ...
The moment of observation is the real find ...
Training and mastering it defies. Training leads to poor imitations of the original.
Often the result should ripen, like wine. Although time is the understanding of the mind, therefore it is very speculative.
The meaning of all this is the process!

A Western Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) casually surveys it's territory.
We got lucky and found the Osprey from my previous post in Morro Bay. We were returning home on a Sunday afternoon. Monday afternoon, I went down to Goleta beach on my lunch break and discovered this Osprey! I've returned several times and saw the same bird. On one occasion, there was a pair present.
