Le plus chouette moment... Trois heures d'observation sous la neige et ensuite la pluie au sommet des falaises.
The hike to Observation Point brings you to one of the most breath-taking vistas in Zion and possibly much of Utah. Below is the Virgin River, the Great White Throne, Angles Landing, Hidden Canyon, and many other dominant features in the park. One false move and it's straight down for at least 1,500 feet to the bottom.

This is the view from Observation Point high on the East Rim of Zion. I hiked up there after a nice snowstorm moved through the area. I had high hopes that the clouds were going to break right before sunset. Indeed, they did break just to the north of where I was, and produced some glorious light on the distant hills. Alas, it never happened here. You can see some snow still falling through the canyon below. The "small" cliff you see on the right side of the road is Angel's Landing, so that gives you a good sense of scale.
At 280 feet tall, Rastin Observation Tower is the tallest structure in Knox County in Ohio. The tower has over 220 steps.
This tower is a former smokestack from a plate glass factory. After the factory was closed in 1970s, the community re-purposed the chimney and surrounding area into a park.
