This subjectivity finds significance in observing a flower of brachychiton acerifolius (Illawarra Flame Tree) fall onto page 29 of a copy of Graham Harman's "Guerrilla Metaphysics: Phenomenology and the Carpentry of Things" (Carus Publishing Company 2005). Uses iPad application 'Magic Shutter' to signify the event in multiple exposures.

A mixed bag of objects laying around the house, requiring different settings to get the right exposure or to isolate parts of the object. All objects taken within an hour on the same day.

 

The layout was loosely inspired by an IOS game appearing on Facebook.

This object was in Abell's catalogue of planetary nebulae. But in the 70's it was identified as ring galaxy. DIstance around 150 MLY, apparent size of 15''.

Vintage german doll, wire, painted maple panel. 8" x 8" x 1" Signed, dated, and titled on the back by the artist. Panel is milled and ready to hang.

I've been working in several new directions this year. Much of my previous work involved photographing arrangements of things (some folks called them digital assemblages or digital collage)-- with these assemblages I'm gluing and physically constructing objects.

 

Peeling bark, ammonite, brass box lid, bark from firewood. Rubbing done with child's crayons.
