It's my little boy JAXson still with boogers in his eyes getting his first drink of water in the morning. He is quite the opposite of Obby who is ravenous while he is delicate and precise. Have a good Tuesday everyone. (off prompt) #cy365 52/365 'happy tongue tuesday'

It's how he starts his day, waiting at the faucet after a few bites of kibble. He is definitely in a rut, but oh so cute! Happy Sunday everyone!

Normally this would be an extremely busy weekend due to it being a Bank Holiday and, more especially, being the Padstow May Day Obby Oss celebrations. Not only that, but the weather was just about perfect too.

For the second year running the festival has been cancelled for obvious reasons. It's nice to at least see the shops open and the pubs open, although you can only sit outside.

The speedboats are running and we've even got a solitary decorated yacht. There were three other visiting yachts too.

Things should properly take off on May 17th when a much bigger range of holiday accommodation and attractions are allowed to open.

We have moved....everything is in a box somewhere and nothing is as it was. Obby, bless his heart, is out of sync with his favorite hide away places gone...but Obby...."New ones await!" ! This photo shows the 'look' of looking, a good behavior when in a new place. Happy Caturday everyone!

In the last light of the day, Obby sits for a drink from the kitchen faucet after his dinner... just as he does first thing in the morning. You can see the look on his face is 'no nonsense'...."I'm going to stare at you until you turn it on"! Happy Cat-urday from the boys and me!

"I don't get the fuss over what my people are watching on the television.....I just get comfortable and snuggled when they jump around and scream and I go flying off a lap....I may look settled here, but I'm just waiting! I just don't get it!" Obby

Thankfully, says Obby, the water faucet doesn't move. He was quite wet after his drink. You can see how the water is splashing on his leg, and down the side of his face....silly boy!

This was as close as he would get to 'the box' planted there for days for this week's Happy Caturday prompt!

Awwww....naptime here in my studio.

I love Obby's pink nose, tiny pink lips, and pink toe buds. Happy Caturday everyone.

I hope you all enjoy your May Day celebrations. This colourful maypole image is from the 2007 May Day 'Obby 'Oss celebrations at Padstow. Sadly I'm not feeling well enough to attend this year, don't think I could cope with the crowd for one thing.

And in the same few minutes, after Bailey is swiped by JAXson...he finds Obby has jumped into his bed and is quite settled for a nap. Note the poor condition of that bed! There are three who use it regularly...vying for time in its soft confines and smells. Happy Caturday everyone. I hope yours was extraordinary.

Sweet nap time in the studio.

Both boys went to the vet for their check ups. Obby weighed in at 20 lbs! It was advised to cut back his 3/4C of kibble to 1/2C a day! Ha!

A classic Obby moment...caught on the top bunk with a grandboy cuddling into a morning nap

Obby claimed Bailey's bed first...seemingly sleeping but awake and guarding his spot.

At his best....Obby well fed, relaxed, and ready for lap time.

It's a tight fit, but they would share the space in my studio occasionally. It melted my heart when they did. Obby and JAXson....Happy Caturday everyone!

Minehead's May Day Hobby Horse was still out and about in town today.

Most days Obby sleeps on a quilt for his morning nap in the studio....but he agreed to pose under for today's theme. I love that this 'made with love' quilt has warmed three of my kitties...so many good memories. Happy Caturday to all our friends.

He sleeps mostly on his back with his legs and arms out....the length of the old chair in my studio right next to my work table. Of course, when I posed to snap a photo for this week's prompt, he rolled over right into the arm where he stayed. He often sleeps with his head pressed against something or someone. You can barely see his pillow and quilt. Happy Saturday everyone from Obby and Jaxson...!

Obby is being resourceful finding a place to nap amidst packing disarray. He was behind me and waiting for a chance to jump on the table and check out the butter! lol.

My Obby is my sweet angel kitty....he is 26 lbs. (maybe more) of orange fluff and the sweetest personality. I did a quick sketch from a photo, and then positioned that halo over one ear since there are those times when the halo slips a bit...lol! Ink, watercolor, and stitched on an index card.

Two days away at an art show creates needy time with the boys. In a blink Obby jumps on the table (forbidden) and into my paper reading. A sweet day here for sure with a football game in the afternoon. Perfect Sunday Morning fall day.

Things have settled quite much since we brought Bailey home to live with us. Obby claims his time next to Bailey...Jaxson, however, is till a bit on the defensive..or maybe it is the offensive. He has swiped a puppy nose a few times!

He was frisky all morning after his short nap and that was after his breakfast of diet kibble eating almost 3/4 of his days' allowance....That blur at the top is his paw reaching for the camera lens.

CY...I caught him rolling over on his side from his usual sleeping position on his back. He was not in a good mood as I kept clicking, hoping to catch those elusive white whiskers. Obby....an acronym of sorts for Orange Bobbed Boy....

You can buy a new toy for your furry boys, but you can't make them play! JAXson has decided to sit on the scratching board center. Obby won't go near it! #cy365 23/365 'action'

I looked down the street Rainbow Lane and saw not one rainbow. Still, the name is fun and smile worthy. The house was just listed so hopes were high. But it wasn't a good fit. . The view of the Cascades and Port Susan was the best and accessible by all windows. But sadly it was too large for two people. For my card, I used a set of children's markers and a gel pen. We left Obby home to recuperate from having 5 teeth extracted. I'm sure he would agree with my assessment. #dyicad2021 2/61

Obby loves Snowy and Teddy. Needless to say, he can sense when I have the camera aimed at him. And when he does, the eyes pop open.

The Minehead ‘Obby’Oss has been around the town since five this morning.

I'm sure I've seen busier years than this, but there were certainly plenty of people in attendance.

Obby sees me with my phone or camera and he tries to hide. He still makes for a good photo. Happy Caturday!

There are only so many ways to photograph your cat. Obby naps most of the day, so where he is is important to what I can do. This morning he and JAXson got on the top bunk in the boys' room. I had to manage the bunk bed ladder, balance myself and my camera and try not to wake him as I reached over him to see his face in the viewfinder. . As you can see, I did wake him, but snapped the photo before he raised his head. Sweet Obby...not so patient, but darn cute!

In an effort to clear storage space on my phone- I came across this photo taken a few months ago. It was a sweet moment between Obby and Jaxson.

Obby was there first! and well into his nap when JAXson jumped up to join him. Obby wasn't happy at all, and he left for a quieter place. I love the look on his face! "Wha t--" he must be thinking!

This wire bin is sitting on a swivel chair that is at its highest position...I was using it for left over batting from quilts. They (the boys) love to be here because they are up high, and, they can see into the office and my quilting area....they are most relaxed when they know their people are around.

Obby wishes everyone a good and fun weekend with lots of belly rubs and stretches....:)

Where I stood this morning. The first thing I do is feed my hungry boys. Obby is insistent and loud and barely able to put up with my camera. #ourwisproject

Someone needs his nails clipped....a playful Obby who didn't want to get off my chair.

Obby snagged Bailey’s bed for his morning nap.

Trying to get some attention at dinner time....of course I had to run into the other room, get my camera, set the settings, and hope that he had not moved. Then, he put on a show. lol

We are moved! Still surrounded by boxes in every room and lots of details to be finished in the remodel...and sadly two long awaited pieces of furniture need to be exchanged because of damage. But, so glad to be here on this first Sunday in October watching the tidal basin display of ships and crab pots. The air is cool, breezy and foggy. The coffee strong and hot....Obby our sweet feline will come home today to his new home after a stay with a friend on the island. Days go on, much changes, and yet much remains the same. Good morning to everyone.

I miss Obby & JAXson. They were locked out of the room with the long arm quilt machine while I was there and we found them here the day after their humans returned home. They look totally relaxed and I love the colors of them, the quilts, the thread, the snatch of blue wall and the plants outside.

Obby's morning water after his breakfast....here he is watching the water bubble down the drain, satisfied finally that all is good, and then he drinks from a dripping faucet. Happy Caturday!

Obby follows the sun around as it moves through the day. Here he is in his classic sleeping position with dappled late sun highlighting his nose.

The annual festival which celebrates the coming of Spring every year on May 1st at Padstow. Because of the sheer number of people it is difficult to obtain acceptable images - unless you can find a suitable high viewpoint. This particular year I commandeered the top of a petrol-pump! :-)

Another rainy day. Obby and JAXson love watching the goings on in the kitchen and outside at the bird feeders.
