My sweet Obby indeed has me under his 'spell' with those eyes! I used Sumi and Dr Ph Martin inks, and a Joy pen.
I'm not alone when it comes to watching the beautiful sunsets here....Obby and JAXson in their sweetness.
Obby had a slow week and not quite himself. I do mention his appetite and girth frequently but at a loss when his appetite lessens. Today he seems better. But we are watching him closely. Happy Caturday everyone.
As always, Obby takes the concept of chilling to a new high....he does it well and often, always aware of my whereabouts in proximity to him. Happy Caturday everyone and all.

Finding a bit of sun in between rain showers is where you will find Obby in the winter. He is here in my kitchen garden window...needless to say there is no garden in order to have room for the Big Boy when he needs water or sun. Obby keeps us on schedule...for feeds, water, lap sitting, and just comforting....he is a timekeeper....every morning he is up and ready, waiting patiently for the house to waken for his breakfast....then a few minutes outside on the deck for water and to check out the neighborhood feral cats...then inside for the long morning nap. Of course I love every bit of my boy Obby…but It is his tail that I most admire….he uses it as a leg and always with attitude. When he swishes it - stand back. He talks with that sweet tail! (that strange blue hue is a reflection!) Happy Caturday from us to you!
Obby daydreams of food I'm sure. But, he will only eat when we are home which isn't a problem these days. In this photo he is on the table and I have moved my breakfast to the counter behind me....see that paw hanging over the edge? That is his tool for grasping bits when you aren't looking. The theme for this week's Happy Caturday photo....I could have chosen all of the adjectives to describe my boy Obby....but the bottom line is....HUNGRY! Always! All my urging and prompting went for nil...Obby had one thing on his mind this morning and it wasn't sitting posed for a photo. My color is twofold: his pink tongue so obviously seen here; and, the beautiful blue hand blown glass in the background....not to mention the foliage out ithe window in the beautiful morning autumn light here in the Pacific Northwest...Happy Caturday to all our friends! This is what happens every morning when I sit down with my coffee and my reading materials. He will sit right on top and pretend like he is interested. But actually he isn't. He doesn't care about my coffee either. There is little wiggle room when it comes to Obby and his food. This is a morning ritual...a standoff between the big boy and Bailey. He sits and stares and hopes that Bailey will wilt away leaving bowl of kibble. Silly boys. Happy Caturday everyone.

I am grateful for my two cats who bring so much love and fun to this house. They are funny, serious, demanding, apologetic (I think), and talk to me in their own ways: Obby my 30 lb. orange American Bobbed Tail and JAXson, my shy, passive aggressive, loving and yet solitary older gentleman. They love each other as brothers. They make me smile on dark days when I need a smile. GratitudeChallenge #8
There are two things Obby loves in his world: food and sleep. He is already well into his morning nap, snuggled on a quilt next to me in the studio. Happy Caturday, everyone!
The noise from the wind unsettled the boys....they missed their morning nap because they were pacing and hiding in closets and under my quilting machine. Finally the wind stopped mid afternoon and both boys are now asleep. I took this photo this morning and Obby's usually calm soft face has an annoyed look doesn't it?

Obby is very insistent and focuses like a laser beam when he wants attention or (more importantly to him) food. I love this somewhat askew photo of the boy. Happy Caturday everyone.
Obby's game is to get the fluffy bed first in the morning....usually before Bailey wakes up. He has never been one for toys or games. I see him as a serious sort....always scheming for his next bowl of food or this bed for his first nap. Love my boy! Happy Caturday everyone!
My big boy keeping close because he senses that we are packing for our annual trip south for the holidays. TV time is cuddle time in Obby and JAXson's world reality. They wait on the sofa watching and waiting until....! Today's prompt is 'low light'....and this was in very low dimmed overhead light although the catch lights in O's eyes would tell a different story. Still, the iPhone camera compensates. Hie is the oportunist...always knowing when someone is in the kitchen food in his bowl) , sitting (a lap), and a wee bit of light on a rainy day (to sunbathe). He jumped up and rolled over, head back and paws up....and resplendent in his moment.
For the prompt today, I waited until he was focused on a squirrel outside and holding still for a minute...I love this guy's wonky whiskers. Happy Caturday everyone from Obby and JAXson.
I have to be really quick to get anything near eye contact from the Obby Boy....he hears me coming. This is one of his siesta spots...in the den where he can see us walking back and forth to the kitchen. He knows the kitchen sounds. lol. Happy Caterday everyone. oops...I almost missed today. Much busy here with landscaping going on front side and back...and soon lots of flowers of my own.
