Obby found a ray of sun coming through one window on this freezing cold day! I had been trying to get a full on face with catch lights in his eyes, but he wouldn't look at me. So I just sat there and waited...and then I got his whiskers! lol
April 2017 I'm not sure how to post this from an already posted photo in my photo stream. This is one of my favorites of Obby!
I just finished stitching on this quilt and put it down on the floor. Of course Obby had to investigate and jump at imaginary foes....meanwhile JAXson is off to the side watching and waiting. Happy Caturday everyone...we have been without electricity with this storm so sorry for the photo quality and thankful for a generator.

My boy Obby has taken over Bailey's new bed...he runs after his first meal to get there before him...and settles in with the loudest purring and kneading ever...I'm sorry I didn't record it! Happy Caturday to all our friends.
Obby's preference is for anything soft and preferably handmade by me...The Chair in my studio and all the beds are layered with quilts and projects, all of which Obby considers his domain. But this one on the dining room table is his morning spot while I savor my first cup of coffee and gets a bit of attention. Happy Caturday everyone...stay inside and healthy.

I posted this a few months ago...it seemed a perfect manifestation of the theme Home is Where the Cat Is....Obby displays complete comfort and trust when he chooses Mom's chair to sleep in with his Snowy to cuddle. I am so thankful for his light in my home and the many many smiles he has caused. I love this boy! Happy Caturday everyone.

My 'orange big boy'.....thusly named....full of curiosity and personality...always checking me out and wanting to much in this minute to jump up on the table and roll around in whatever I'm reading....Happy Caturday to all their friends in Caturday land....Wouldn't we have fun if we all got together with them? lol.
Obby's favorite place to be is in the kitchen window where he can see the comings and goings, and, be ready to get a drink from the faucet. Even on a rainy day, there is bird activity at the feeders outside. Happy Caturday from the boys!

Always pushing the liimits on propriety, Obby chooses to nap on his back with his legs and arms dangling...not the tiniest of them all, but he is all 'masterpiece' to me. Happy Caturday.

Obby has first claim to the shared bed with Bailey....and this is their morning routine ....watching for the passing of any one of several feral cats who frequently come to and through our yard to the beach. You can see the snow outside...Obby came to us as a rescue with this bobbed tail which he uses like another leg...! Obby loves this bed by the window...it is high above the yard below and he can follow the cats who meander through the yard, not to mention the robins who are just outside the window. This bed is also Bailey's spot, so it is a game every day to see who gets the bed first. Happy Caturday everyone.
Rena and all the rest of us are remembering Cleo this week. Cleo had the greenest eyes I've ever seen on a cat and was a huge personality and much loved by everyone who knew her on Flickr. We all miss her and send our best love to Regina at this sad time. And to Tofu who lost his big sister.
What a sad Caturday when we've learned we also lost beloved Obby yesterday. He was one of a kind with his little bobbed tail and loving manner. So, so sorry, Opal.
Obby could be the spokes cat for the perfect life! He has always found the sun's light and warmth...I cherish this photo from the archives which was his spot in our old house. lol What more could he ask for? from here he could see his food dish and his people. While posting another photo for this prompt, Obby jumped up on the chair next to me and rolled over on his back to bathe in the warm sunlight. So this is the second for today's prompt 'display'...#cy365 day 198 'display'
The minute I sit down, especially with the phone, Obby is on my lap and purring loudly like an outboard motor. I tried to balance him (a bit of weight!) while holding my phone and that caused ‘the look’ !!! You see his one eye? The rest of him managed to be out of the frame! Lol. He continues to charm many ways. Happy Caturday to all our friends.
He doesn't love it! And it is staged. The box was there all day and not one sniff nor longing look to the wonder it might hold. So I dropped in a ball from his circle round about toy, and there it is. A moment. Obby had no interest at all! Happy Caturday to all our friends.
Obby's inside is my closet...every morning after his breakfast he heads for the closet and snoozes until late afternoon when his inner dinner bell rings. Nothing wakes him....my coming and going and even the camera! Happy Caturday everyone.
It took him 2 or 3 minutes to understand there was a bag of kibble on the deck. He checked it out in various positions, pushing his nose into the seams and finally found the opening. Happy Caturday everyone...and thank you for a fun theme this week.

Finally the weather has warmed a bit and we had the sliding door opened today. Obby roused himself from his after lunch nap to check out the new deck chairs- red of course. While he was at it - he checked on the neighboring cats who roam through our yard. It was a good day for Obby. Happy Caturday everyone.
These little cats have such a strong hold on our hearts. I took this photo of Finnley at work with Cleo in mind. She had such gorgeous eyes and I've thought of her and Regina all week. This morning, I got on Flickr to pay tribute to Cleo and read that Opal had to say goodbye to Obby yesterday. I am so sorry for what both Regina and Opal are going through and know that everyone in the group is going to miss two of our furry friends. My mom and I discussed this when I was visiting her a couple weeks ago and we both strongly agree that even knowing our hearts will eventually break when we lose these feline friends, loving them is definitely worth it.
So today, on Happy Caturday, I'll give Ella an extra treat and let Mack in and out AGAIN without signing or rolling my eyes and remember happy thoughts about Cleo and Obby.

My precious boys....JAX who we lost in 2019 and Obby ... snuggling as they did. I am thankful for these photo memories and the opportunity to bring them forth again to share with our friends. Happy Caturday everyone! We have been entertained watching the return of the whales to our bay! They are a month early!
Obby's world is all about food. So it is fitting that the potter has made special cat food bowls and dishes for the boys. Obby really doesn't care what he eats from...it is all about the food. Happy Caturday!
