Really did have a strange sci-fi presentiment when I stumbled upon this place the other day. Apparently it's inhabited by hipsters.
Raining here today....thought I would play around with some older shots. The horizon is centerd...but I kind of like it that way with this one....Hope everyone has a great Thursday ; )

Mineral Range's National Mine job is just returning from Winthrop Junction. They'll shortly spin the switch behind me here at Pluto and shove into the Dyno plant. Turns out the president, Clint was running the engine today, and we took him out for dinner after they had everything tied down.
Oh, and Merry Christmas to all you Flickr people. Here's to me actually posting things in 2020...
Here is an outer space simulation I made from scratch in photoshop. I don't know if anyone can find a use for it, but it's there if someone wants to use it.
Go to All Sizes up there and save the Original file. Only thing I ask is to not commercially redistribute or claim as your own.
Is it weird that I'm uploading this things? :-/
I can't go out much, so I end up creating things that I can't photograph. That's...sort of pathetic. :(
A black-and-white capture of a sunrise in Outer Banks, North Carolina. Decided to go black and white as a study of the light levels.
Looking towards the sky opposite the Full Blood Wolf Moon on Sunday night, -12 degrees out not very friendly for long exposures.
I was injoying a warm cup of coffee with my camera on a tripod wondering if the sunrise would ever happen.
Today I wanted to take a trip to the Planetarium and get some relaxation and peace. This case is really bothering me because it involves a kid. Now, Im not that fond of kids, never wanted them but I dont wish bad things to happen to them. This case is touching my in ways that Ive never had a case to touch me before. I know the suspect will also be here, He likes scoping out places that he knows kids will be at. So im here after leaving Faddish and KosmetiK for my makeup and clothing ensemble. Im loving it. Faddish contributed to the clothing like the Ghetto Style Petro Galaxy shorts and KosmetiK provided the Prism nails, Eyeliner Glitter. and Liquid Lipstick. Ladies definitely hit up these 2 store and get your galaxy outfit today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And as always........Happy shopping ladies ☺

It seems that the boardwalk is the most popular location for photographers visiting Duck at Outer Banks for a good reason. It offers delightful views on Currituck Sound, which should be beautiful at sunset. I've got there in the middle of the day and stopped just for a few minutes. Fortunately, some clouds in the sky diffused harsh light and created some subtle reflection in the water.
Late afternoon sunshine on the west coast of Harris in Scotland's Outer Hebrides. This is looking north near Huisinis/Hushinish up Caolas an Scarp (Strait of Scarp).
The island just visible on the left is Scarp itself which found fame when German inventor Gerhard Zucker tried to provide a postal service to the island by rocket mail in 1934. This has been the subject of at least one film en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rocket_Post
How to eat a mangosteen
www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBZ9rviGTpg
The purple mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana), colloquially known simply as mangosteen, is a tropical evergreen tree believed to have originated in the Sunda Islands and the Moluccas of Indonesia. Nevertheless, it also grows in tropical South American countries such as Colombia, where the tree has been introduced. The tree grows from 7 to 25 m (20–80 ft) tall. The fruit of the mangosteen is sweet and tangy, juicy, and somewhat fibrous, with an inedible, deep reddish-purple colored rind (exocarp) when ripe.In each fruit, the fragrant edible flesh that surrounds each seed is botanically endocarp, i.e., the inner layer of the ovary.
The purple mangosteen belongs to the same genus as the other, less widely known, mangosteens, such as the button mangosteen (G. prainiana) or the charichuelo (G. madruno).
A tropical tree, the mangosteen must be grown in consistently warm conditions, as exposure to temperatures below 0°C (32°F) for prolonged periods will generally kill a mature plant. They are known to recover from brief cold spells rather well, often with damage only to young growth. Experienced horticulturists have grown this species outdoors, and brought them to fruit in extreme South Florida.

Thinking about the folks on the Outer Banks tonight, as Hurricane Dorian causes massive flooding on the low-lying islands. Here, Hatteras Lighthouse in better times.
Dun Carloway is a broch (an Iron Age drystone hollow-walled structure) on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Most brochs were built in the period from 100 BC to 100 AD.
My camera battery went dead so I was unable to photo-document the opposite side, which is more ruined and open to examine. I am attaching a short video from the Internet which shows what I can not.
