Like my other Power Figures, this is loosely based on African Bochia and Minkisi power figures, sometimes called "nail fetishes" because of the nails and other pieces of metal that are driven into them ritually to release their magical power.
The figure (head, arms,legs, body) is entirely hand-sculpted by me.
Additive material includes acrylic “doll eye” beads hand-painted by me, replica antique doll parts, fishing net, glass beads, rusted nails.

Sean Tucker's airplane, the Oracle Challenger III biplane, seen here at the 2008 Aviation Nation air show at the USAF Nellis base, is claimed to produce more than 400 horsepower, and weighs only 1,200 pounds. The Challenger III is equipped with a unique set of wings that use 8 ailerons instead of 4. The tail on the airplane is modeled after the tail used on high-performance radio control airplanes.

Besides Sean D. Tucker's custom biplane, there was another Oracle-sponsored plane at the show, and I'm not sure who was flying it.
This came late in the day and by that time, I thought I had enough number of sharp images, so I decided to drop down the shutter speed again, and go for propeller motion look, even if it meant I lost some sharpness.
I actually got some sharp images nevertheless, with propeller blur. So 1/250s worked quite well.

The Oracle is a large indoor shopping and leisure mall, located on the banks of the River Kennet on the site of a 17th-century workhouse of the same name in the town of Reading in the English county of Berkshire. It was developed by, and is owned by, a joint venture of Hammerson and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
The Oracle takes its name from the 17th century Oracle workhouse built by funds from a local man John Kendrick. This once occupied a small part of the site now occupied by the shopping centre.
In March 1997 Hammerson acquired a 22 acre site of largely derelict and undeveloped land immediately to the south of the town centre. Most of this site was previously occupied by Simond's Brewery (latterly owned by the Courage brewing company) and by the Reading Transport bus depot (formerly the Reading Corporation tram depot). The brewery had earlier relocated to a new site adjoining the M4 motorway, whilst the bus depot was relocated to a location just west of the town centre as one of the first phases of the redevelopment.
Ever since the Batgirl Pullip was announced I planned on getting two, one to keep as Batgirl and one to turn into Oracle. For non-comic fans Oracle is who Barbara Gordon aka. Batgirl becomes after being crippled at the hands of the Joker in the Killing Joke.
As the Oracle, Barbara is indispensable to the superhero community as an information broker where she relies more on her keen intellect and computer skills to fight crime in an increasingly technological world. She eventually goes on to found the Birds of Prey crime fighting team with Dinah Lance aka. Black Canary.
During the recent DC relaunch Barbara Gordon regained her ability to walk in the comics (The Killing Joke still happened but she was eventually rehabilitated and able to walk again).

We had our annual week of Bible camp for the ELCA and LCMS churches of southern Arizona. We rented the Triangle Y Ranch Camp in Oracle, and it comes with a built in worship area from the 1940's. Because of HUGE fire danger we didn't even try to light a real fire, but we were able to set some mood with votives around the fire.
