The Oracle Team USA catamaran "17" runs downwind on the San Francisco bay with sails bearing her name. There was only a light breeze on the bay when the team started training, which allowed them to use both their large jib and gennaker. About two hours later, the wind filled in and they switched to their smaller jib without 17 on it.
i think this ring might be an oracle, a portentious clue... it seems to want to tell you something; your destiny, your future, the prophecy in which your role is foretold....
it is made of sterling silver, and set with a lavender chalcedony of unbelieveable quality; this is an heirloom gem! glowing and milky, mysterious and revealing at the same time...

The two AC72's of Oracle Team USA and Artemis Racing beat windward on a breezy day of training on San Francisco Bay. This was the first day Artemis had its boat back in the water after modifying their rig to come up to par with Oracle.
One of Oracle's boats has already returned to dock with equipment failure, a common occurrence for these huge but fragile high-tech boats. Angel Island is in the background.

Besides Sean D. Tucker's custom biplane, there was another Oracle-sponsored plane at the show, and I'm not sure who was flying it.
This came late in the day and by that time, I thought I had enough number of sharp images, so I decided to drop down the shutter speed again, and go for propeller motion look, even if it meant I lost some sharpness.
I actually got some sharp images nevertheless, with propeller blur. So 1/250s worked quite well.

I found this original 1960's version Ouija (wee-gee or we-ja) Board that belonged to my grandmother as I was going through old boxes from her estate. I have fond, yet creepy, memories of playing with this as a youngster.
I still have the now crumbling original box that proclaims on the back:
"OUIJA talking board set gives you entertainment you have never experienced. It draws the two people using it into close companionship and weaves them a feeling of mysterious isoloation. Unquestionably the most fascinating entertainment for modern people and modern life."
That's right...modern 1960-something life.
