Boats pulled up on the shore of Derwentwater, near Keswick in the Lake District. This scene made me think of the classic shot of the gondolas in Venice, definitely a place I will have to visit at some point.
Hi Everyone, As I have mentioned before I love the Film Noir from the 1950s and 1960s, they were cheesey and silly but also fun and gritty and make great watching on a rainy Saturday afternoon, so I wanted to do a photo inspired by my love of fashion and dark and dangerous side of Hollywood from her golden age. Have a wonderful day and thank you again or allowing me to share my photos with you. :)

Hello my Flickr friends!
Today is yellow day Color My World Daily Group and the theme at *ღღ* Cosas de casa *ღღ Group is numbers.
As you can see, the numbers in my picture are 6-2-7. Yes, it is like in @magda627. Those are my lucky numbers and also, they are very easy for me to remember.
And guess what? If we do: 6-2=4, then we have 47…
And guess who is turning 47 years old today? No, it isn’t me, but my lovely husband!! He is 47 years old today!! He is my best friend; he is an awesome husband and a best dad ever (according to my 2 sons !!). He is THE BEST! Yes, he is!! And if you want to see by yourself how cool and nice, he is, go and visit his YouTube channel, he will be more than happy to help you in the field of music and audio. Here is the link to Youtube: www.youtube.com/nutrixthesynthguy
And if you absolutely want to know more about his passion, here is the link to his blog:
Yes, I know, he is handsome but he is mine!! Happy birthday my love!!!
Have a beautiful day my Flickr friends!! And gin & tonic for everyone (who drinks alcohol) and tea or coffee or juice or water for everyone else!!

Ducked just down the road from home again this afternoon and grabbed a few images including this one.
This Jacky Winter sat on a nice perch and gave me this pose which I thought looked pretty cute - what do you think?
Thanks for any comments, views or favorites for this or any of my other images - always very much appreciated!!
Hope you have an awesome day!
A unused simple railroad tie nail or Stevens spike that I found, spotted & photographed as my beloved and I explored alongside the active Southern Pacific Railroad track at Jefferson County Oregon Bridge that runs parallel to the Jacob Cosner or Jefferson County Bridge which allows automotive (Oregon Route 16) and pedestrian traffic to cross the Santiam River. This particular railroad tie nail design dates back to 1830 when Colonel
Robert Livingston Stevens designed the “T”-rail and the Stevens Spike to nail the rail to wooden railroad tie that as this image shows is still in use where because of weight and cost wood is still used as ties instead of concrete which is also used in modern railways. - [ ] #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany @oregononly @oregonexplored
I just found this a fascinating bird to watch. I don't know the specific species but I hope one of my flickr friends will enlighten me....
Those sideburns were spectacular!

Little Jeremy asked, "Mama! Mama! May I practice Trick or Treat?! I want to try on my ghost costume!"
"Yes, Jeremy! You certainly may! I'd like to get a photo of you all dressed up, too!"
"Will you give me candy if I yell Trick or Treat, Mama?"
"No, Sweetie- that is for the REAL Halloween! But you can practice the words, too, if you like!"
HTBT, Everyone!

The History of Green Tea
The history of green tea dates back over 4,000 years to China, where it is considered a precious beverage and a symbol of harmony between man and nature. After developing in China, green tea spread throughout Asia and the rest of the world.
Green tea gets its name from the preparation method used to prevent the tea leaves from undergoing excessive oxidation. Typically, the leaves are hand-picked and then quickly heated to stop the oxidation process. This is what keeps their natural green color and preserves the health benefits of green tea.

Doors or gates
open
like loving passions,
they open like songs,
silhouettes of new roads ...
one key, just one, open this gate,
do not look because it may be one or none.
Open the doors
and that your soul
hold the wonder ...
we will go with your blood and mine
we will travel the world ...

The question is which one is more attractive, the bird or the flower or both?
The purple-rumped sunbird (Leptocoma zeylonica) is a sunbird endemic to the Indian Subcontinent. Like other sunbirds, they are small in size, feeding mainly on nectar but sometimes take insects, particularly when feeding young. This is a female bird.

I don't know how to do collage. It's even harder to pick one among my favorites of my own works of 2010. But this one somehow emerged while I was going through the images. It's important to remember the one(s) who is/are always there to support us be it rain or shine ...

Kerria japonica, also known as the Japanese marigold bush or miracle marigold bush in the northern New England area and as yamabuki (山吹) in Japan, is a deciduous shrub in the rose family Rosaceae, native to China, Japan and Korea. It is named after William Kerr, who introduced the cultivar 'Pleniflora'. It is the sole species in the genus Kerria; its genus name is also used as a common name (kerria).
