Amtrak P42DC 716 is on the west end of an Operation Lifesaver special train at Albany/Rensselaer in 2006 with officials, reporters and guests on the platform. P42DC 104 is at the other end of the train.
New York, NY -October 11, 2003 - Mary Kate Olsen (R) and twin sister Ashley Olsen (L) shooting scenes for their new film "New York Minute" in Chelsea. The Olsen Twins posed outside their trailer with original hand knit scarves designed for them by Adria Later, who also is their on location teacher. Adria also had a chance to teach them how to knit during this film and they are now knitting their own scarves.

UP 6720, a former C&NW unit still wearing C&NW paint but patched for UP and wearing an Operation Lifesaver scheme, is leading the MELNP (Manifest-Elkhart, IN to North Platte, NE) through Rochelle, IL at dusk under the C&NW searchlights on the west side of the famous diamond crossing. Accompanying it are SD60E #6964 and former UP-turned NS SD9043MAC #7272. The green signal is for an eastbound coal train.
This is the incredibly well-designed manlift that has been used to put messages up (and take them down) on the Loew's marquee since at least the mid 1940s. FOL found it still in the Theatre, and has used it ever since. With plans for a new digital marquee, its fate is, sadly, uncertain.
