Aldham Coaches' GPO 298N is leaving Barnsley East Interchange. It is a Leyland National 10351A/1R/SC, new in 1974 as London Country SNC147. It came to Aldham Coaches from Southend Transport in 1990.
This was both Mike Oldfield's debut record and Virgin Record's first release. An excerpt from side one was used in the movie THE EXORCIST (1973) which greatly boosted sales of the album. The cover photo is by Trevor Key who would go on to make many album cover photo's.
His work can be seen on albums by The Sex Pistols, Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark, Joy Division, Roxy Music, and Peter Gabriel, to name a few.

Displaying a decidedly tatty roof, 66199 passes Oldfield Park with 6C68, 1225 Avonmouth to Whatley Quarry empty aggregate boxes on 8 August, 2019. The loaded train, which leaves the quarry in the small hours, conveys stone for use in the construction of Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station.

Oldfields–Lilly House and Gardens is a 26-acre historic estate and house museum located on the IMA campus, north of the main Museum complex. Lilly House is a 22-room mansion that was once the home of J.K. Lilly Jr., the late Indianapolis businessman, collector and philanthropist. Known historically as Oldfields, the estate features gardens and grounds designed in the 1920s by Percival Gallagher of the famous landscape architecture firm Olmsted Brothers.

After his three-month term of enlistment expired, he became an officer in the Ninety-sixth Ohio Infantry. He served most of the war in Louisiana and Alabama, and mustered out of the army as a first lieutenant in July 1865. He poses here with comrade George W. Kline (1836-1914), the Ninety-sixth's regimental quartermaster.

Oldfields also known as the Lilly House and Gardens, is a 26-acre historic estate and house museum at Newfields in Indianapolis. The estate, an example of the American country house movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. It was later designated a National Historic Landmark in 2003.
Oldfields was built between 1909 and 1913 by architect Lewis Ketcham Davis for the family of Hugh McKennan Landon, who occupied the home from 1913 until 1932 when it was sold to Josiah K. Lilly Jr. Lilly, the late Indianapolis businessman, collector, and philanthropist, renovated and expanded the estate throughout the 1930s and 1940s, updating interiors as well as adding a number of new buildings to the grounds.
Now known as the Lilly House, the 22-room mansion has undergone historic restoration and is now open to the public. The historic house is currently interpreted to reflect the 1930s era when the Lilly family occupied the residence. The rest of the Oldfields estate, which was given to the Art Association of Indianapolis by Lilly's children in 1967, now makes up a major portion of the Newfields campus. In addition to the home's significance as a representation of the American country house movement, Oldfields' gardens and grounds are a rare example of a preserved estate landscape designed by Percival Gallagher of the Olmsted Brothers firm.

06/06/13 Oldfield Park: South West Trains Class 159 159020 passes with 1O48 12:51 Bristol Temple Meads - Salisbury which will then join an Exeter - Waterloo service.
One of the challenges in winter is finding bits of railway that aren't deep in shadow when anything worth photographing is due to run. The stretch between Oldfield Park and Twerton, west of Bath, just about fits the bill allowing this shot of 66605 heading 6C68, 1250 Avonmouth to Whatley Quarry empty stone wagons at about 1320 on 14 December, 2019. Recent vegetation clearance has uncovered a great deal of dumped rubbish here, most of which, I confess, I have edited out of this image.
