My favorite mountain Straumshornet (the left end of the ridge) with a layer of clouds half way between the top and the village Straumgjerde below.
Straumshornet is 974 m, the ridge behind slightly above 1000 m. The view from the top is breathtaking, almost scaring:

Tønsberg, historically Tunsberg, is a city and municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, eastern Norway, located around 102 kilometres south-southwest of Oslo on the western coast of the Oslofjord near its mouth onto the Skagerrak. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Tønsberg. The city is the most populous metropolis in the district of Vestfold with a population of 52,419 in 2019. The municipality has a population of 56,293 and covers an area of 329 km² in 2020. Tønsberg also serves as the seat for the County Governor of Vestfold og Telemark.
Tønsberg is generally regarded as the oldest city in Norway, founded by Vikings in the 9th century. Tønsberg was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838. The rural municipality of Sem was merged into the municipality of Tønsberg on 1 January 1988. The neighboring municipality of Re was merged into Tønsberg on 1 January 2020.
It is home to Tønsberg Fortress on Castle Mountain, which includes ruins from Castrum Tunsbergis, Norway's largest castle in the 13th century. An outdoor music festival is held at Tønsberg Fortress every July. Tønsberg is also home of Oseberg Mound, where the 9th-century Oseberg Ship was excavated.

I took a quick trip to Chicagoland to help my favorite daughter purchase her first new car. I was only there for a few days, but I managed to bag a few trains around town.
Amtrak NPCU 90200 was leading the way on an eastbound Hiawatha Service train in Lake Forest. The 90200 was built by EMD as Amtrak 200 in 1976 as the very first F40PH.

Kellingin and Risin (The Witch and the Giant) are two sea stacks just off the northern coast of the island of Eysturoy in the Faroe Islands close to the town of Eiði. They are 68 and 71 m high, respectively. According to legend, once upon a time the giants in Iceland were envious and decided that they wanted the Faroes, so the giant and the witch were sent to bring them. They tied a heavy rope to a mountain ashore, but as they struggled through the night they could not move it. As dawn broke a sunray turned them to stone, which is what happens to giants in daylight. They have stood there ever since, staring longingly across the ocean towards Iceland. Geologists predict that Kellingin is bound to collapse within a few decades.
While the rest og the band rode aboard a flatbed truck, the drummers in the Whitefish High School Bulldog Band marched in the Winter Carnival Parade in Whitefish Montana. This year, 2019, marks the 60 year anniversary this nordic themed festival that is one of the highlights of winter in this ski town. 2019 is also the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, the 1969 iconic music festival. As a salute to Woodstock, the theme of this year’s celebration was Woodstock Whitefish. As you can see the band wore 1969 style headbands. Girls made up the majoritry of the musicians in the drum section. May not have seen that in 1969.
