Are these guys nuts…to be waterskiing in conditions like this?

Well, actually, yes, they are nuts…and bolts, and nails and other kinds of metal. It’s a desktop-sized metal sculpture of a motorboat and driver towing a slalom waterskier, photographed in front of a calendar photo.

HMM, everyone!

"Locked away in solitude.

I think, I sleep, I pray.

Released, I'm feeling gratitude,

and I am back into the fray."

This is the inside of a plastic resin silo, which I occasionally check. One day the wind blew the door shut and I noticed the outside glow as it is so dark on the inside. I brought in a small Point and shoot Sony to see if I could get the effect. I am thinking this little baby might get me into some areas with less notice and fuss.

Happy Fence Friday - Have a great weekend!

At the mechanics dropping car off for a service and this collection of bits and bobs caught my eye.

nut's, bolts, washers, nails, bearings, taps, springs, spark plugs, clamps, clips, ball bearings, screws, wire, taps, wing nuts etc. every now and then there is a small miracle from the parts bucket or a trip for a tetanus shot

I live in Miami, what do you expect? I had to think outside of the (ice)box!

Chex Mix....fresh out of the oven, it’s still warm.....can you smell it? The whole house smells like Worcestershire Sauce.

The old Saw Mill provided so many opportunities for close up textural images such as this one, right up my street when it comes to favourite things to shoot.

Looks cute. Bites hard.

For The Weekly Alphabet Challenge - A is for agriculture. This is the best I could come up with this week. I had hoped to get out today and take a pic of some fields but didn't manage it.

Had thought I had lost this image in a harddrive crash earlier in the year...found it again a while back and decided to play and rework some of the areas of the image again...it does have seasonal colours...LOL! Best viewed on black...

I decided to bring my Fujica GL690 today, so I had to use the big Brady Gelderburn bag. The bag is designed for fishing but the white fish insert can be replace with a more practical "bag insert" that can hold pens and other stuff.

I first read about the Gelderburn in an article by Bill Pierce on the Digital Journalist , later I learned that Michael Palin used this model for his travel Around the World in 80 days (BBC 1989)

I'd like to thank SmackNally for dropping the challenge of shooting at this specific abandoned wasteland before me. The experience involved a police officer, an oil spill, asbestos, broken glass, creepy dirty mattresses and the anticipation of finding a dead body at every turn. It was awesome.
