[Apologies to all those that have seen this one a few times these past couple of days! But while it was still generating significant views/feedback I've become hugely interested in the overall response. Ta muchly. : )]

UPDATE! This image has since leapt straight into my Top 50 Interestingnest Set in just three days [just refreshed for end of January]. This has never happened to a new image this quickly before: currently ranked 7th in my 600+ uploads. Although I'm really pleased to see one of the images from The Anatomy Of A Stroke making that metaphorical jump this month, too. : )]

One of the positives from two days of torrential rain, all the pretty raindrops waiting for me was just wondrous.

One

One day at a time you share pure joy with the people you come across,

One person at a time you embrace the soul like the air gently caresses a dahlia,

One flower at a time you spread colors to the world like a kaleidoscope revolving around the earth,

And one color at a time you bring magic to our lives and paint a grateful smiles on our lips...

Unique as a rose,

Soft as a tulip,

Light as a dandelion,

Your heart is like a never ending flower field where the sun never sets and the moon refuses to sleep...

P.S. I am super excited to finally be posting this idea I had in my head and the best person I wanted to try it on was Lya. It is because she is one who reminds me of flowers; Sweet, beautiful, refreshing, lively, bright and full of fragrance! Anything she touches will give life and make anything better. Her nurturing nature is truly felt and whenever she is excited she manages to just make it grow on you no matter how grumpy you are. (I admit I am grumpy at times hahaha)

What makes this photo so much fun to do was that I challenged Adam to write me a little prose or poem for it and he wrote the sweetest, heartfelt and loving piece. They are so relationship goals and to have them as friends is refreshing! Thanks for making my garden colorful!

With ingrained parental patience, a white tern incubates an egg in a small hollow on a tree branch. It briefly stood up to stretch and reposition a little giving me a barely visible glimpse through the feathers around the abdominal brood patch of the single brown and beige mottled egg balanced between its feet. The manu-o-Kū is an arboreal nesting pelagic seabird that doesn’t construct a nest; instead using a flat or hollow or fork in the tree to keep the egg from rolling away. It uses its strong clawed semipalmate feet to help steady the egg and perhaps to also provide incubation warmth. This one is nesting in a monkeypod tree adjacent to a building in urban Honolulu. After the egg hatches in about 35 days, the sexually monomorphic adults that have been alternating incubation duties will begin alternating fishing and feeding duties.
