It is possible to build a pyramid from the squares of the first four numbers from thirty identical elements such as cubes or spheres [1X1 + 2X2 + 3X3 + 4X4 = 30]. It seems that just as the Greek Tetraktys visually illustrated that the sum of the first four numbers looked like an isosceles triangle made up of ten elements, so did the pyramid of Egypt visually illustrate that the sum of their squares looked like a pyramid made up of thirty elements. That is, these two important cultures attached special importance to the first four numbers, and in retrospect sought to share this insight with future generations.

This image was done as a promotional piece for my agent Debut Art and was featured in Disorder Magazine.
The image is made up of hand drawn numbers with the portraits of each band member within the numbers.
The National Debt Clock at 44th & Avenue of the Americas. I left my apartment around 8am to take this photo but thought it faced a different direction. It faces East, right to the sunrise. Bummer. I wasted 1 hour or more wandering around. I went to Grand Central to warm up.
